I love WOWS as a good/entertaining movie but I'm always surprised how it slots in on these arrogant film buff lists. It just seems more "of the people" than other selections.

Outside of Mad Max, that's a big snoozefest

This list was made by a person who aggressively smells their own farts.

Yep.

My top 2 are probably Ex Machina and Whiplash. They are also in my top 5-7 favorite movies ever I think

Probably my two favorites of the decade as well. My wife and I go back and forth on which is better. If you could only pick one, which would you choose?

Ex Machina I think.

Whiplash is such an intense experience with an unreal performance by Simmons, but Ex Machina is a damn near perfect movie to me.

This X 100. Every time someone posts some love song about him I always post that every movie of his is like this...

Did you ever see Knight of Cups? It was even more art house than Tree of Life. I tried to watch it three different times and just couldn't do it.

I don’t wanna be that guy but a lot of the studio resources this decade we’re allocated to making super hero films. Think that has an effect

That actually has nothing to do with why it was terrible.

It was boring, slow, did a terrible job of developing its characters or providing background/context to why things happened, and was just not a film I enjoyed. Maybe I'm just not woke enough to get it.

Out of all the other Oscar nominees from that year, it was by far the worst.
