She was so damn sexy for such a long time.

Her David Letterman appearances were legendary. #smoke

I’m not sure “sexy” is the right word but she was very attractive and a great comedic actress.

The OG MILF from Mr Mom.

Sexy is most definitely the right word

Always had a thing for her. Even in Mr. Mom she looked great.

She was “sexy“ in a funny and accessible way, as opposed to the “remote“ or “aloof” sexiness that seems to be more prevalent.

She was the sexiest girl that you will run into at the grocery store or otherwise in real life, rather than the sexiest woman you will ever see on a silver screen.

Great ep of her on original Star Trek.

Would have loved to see a sequel to that one.

The episode was a backdoor pilot, but the Network did not pick up the proposed new series.

I've always had a huge crush on Terri Garr in her prime.

Here's a Twitter thread about Teri's first career as a backup dancer in nine Elvis movies:

I actually ran across Mr Mom a few weeks ago for the first time in probably 10 years. That movie is the essence of the 80s

Such a terrific movie

Do not forget that Marge (Mom and Dad Save the World) did just that faced with the unwanted, liscivious attentions of Tod Spengo of the planet Spengo.

Mr Mom is one of those movies that never gets old. There's nothing all that special about it, other than having a really good cast and being written by John Hughes.

But every time I see it, it reminds me how fun it was to be growing up in that part of the 80s.

Teri Garr was 'in her prime' all the way through the 70s and 80s.

I miss that era of movies. The eighties were putting out stuff like this left and right. Funny and original.

Her worst role was one of my favorite movies, Let It Ride.

Maybe it wasn't her worst role, she did a fine job. Just mean her character was not someone that anyone would like.

I think it was just one of those things - it had all the right ingredients, the cast and crew gave it 100% percent, and it was at the right time with the right tone. In particular the cast really sold out in every scene to make the movie great. I'd love to credit the director, Stan Dragoti (who was married to Cheryl Tiegs for almost all of the 1970s, just as a side note) more, but I don't know much about the behind the scenes to do so. The direction appears fairly conventional. Obviously, he didn't get in his cast's way (or he helped them get great performances), so he should at least get credited for that.

In hindsight, the movie is a borderline masterpiece and should get more consideration for GOAT 80s comedy.
