A buddy of mine works in one of the buildings that was transformed. He's been live streaming stuff off and on for the last few days. Tarantino is sitting in a director's chair right outside the window. My buddy could walk 5 steps and touch him if he wanted. He's seen Pacino and Leo too. At around 4-5pm, they cut for like an hour so all the people in the buildings can leave for the day. They have to be escorted "off the set."

They should build retirement communities that look like that set. I'd happily live there.

i wonder if it'll be shot with a 1960's effect lens. similar to the double feature movie he did a few years ago. can't remember the 2 movies he partnered together with back then.

I don't know if it will be an "effect" lens, but I guarantee you he went to Panavision and said, "give me the exact same lenses used in 1968" or something like that...plus he probably already knows what films like Bullitt and Easy Rider used as far as equipment. He could also try to shoot it on period film, but that stuff probably hasn't been made in decades.

I think Panavision make their own lenses, even back then, but he would definitely need some old Cooke's or Super Baltar's and shoot on film. With that, he could get a very "period" look and feel to the Movie.

It's a bit film nerdy, but take a look at this clip of old lenses used on a modern camera and look at how much it affects the image: LINK

all those cars are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too shiny. i think that's a problem. those were everyday cars back then and were much grittier. they may need to ask those collectors to dirty-up their vehicles a bit to be more authentic.

They've been shooting Wonder Woman 1984 all around D.C. for the past few weeks, including right next to my neighborhood, and it is so cool seeing all the vintage cars and 80's set designs lining the sidewalks I use everyday.

I've never been on or close to a movie set before, but it really is crazy how much detail goes into it.
