the music that plays in TFA when Snoke is on screen is the same as the music that plays in Episode 3 when Palpatine tells Anakin about Darth Plagueis

So he's reincarnated himself into a 30ft slug?

I get what you're saying but sharing similar music isn't necessarily proof

I hope it's not Plagueis.

#1 He's more like 7 feet tall, that's just a hologram

#2 DP's big thing was being able to save people from death. Palpatine may not have realized it but this could have included himself.

not 100% proof obviously but it's closer than just being "similar" and that would have to be a pretty big coincidence for it to not be him, would it not?

I think Palpatine mentions that DP could save anybody, but he couldn't save himself.

On the other hand, I've listened to the whole soundtrack and Snoke's song is so out of place and so similar to the music playing in the RotS scene that's it's either true or we are getting trolled hard by JJ. It's too unique of a sound to be a coincidence to me.

Also, I don't want it to be him. If it is, they will have to go back and explain it and possibly Anakin's virgin birth and that involves the dreaded "m" word.

Maybe Snoke is watching that weird bubble concert while he is holograming with them?

This has to be obvious. They aren't going to bring in a new big bad. If there was someone this powerful around all along, why did they never show their face in the OT?

If it isn't Plageius, it has to be like a fallen Jedi or something.

I don't remember the prequels that well.

This is Snoke's theme. How does it compare to that scene in the prequels?

Is it really that close?

or Palpatine?

if Plageius couldn't bring himself back, but maybe Palpatine learned how to do it?

Damn that's a cool theory.

Couldn't he or one of the most powerful Sith at one time actuau create life using the force?

I've been convinced Snoke is Plagius for a while. We know he is very old and lived well before the empire came to be some 50+ years earlier. This was all said in the book when we get some of Snoke's thoughts.

In ROTS, Palpatine says that Plagius taught him everything he knew, so then Palpatine killed him.

In TFA, we find out Snoke intentionally has not taught Kylo Ren everything he knows. He says at the end it is finally time to complete his training. He clearly learned from the mistake of teaching Palpatine everything and does not intend to make that mistake again. He will probably teach Ren only what Snoke thinks he needs to defeat Rey.

Also, Snoke's face is pretty jacked up. It looks like he died and pieced himself back together. He could create life and he likely retained his identity in the Force after dying. It probably took him 50+ years (we know Palpatine killed Plagius the day he became Supreme Chancellor), but he was finally able to re-inhabit his decomposing body and take over the First Order.

It's got to be him. It was originally his plan to supplant the republic with a galactic empire. Palpatine just killed him in his sleep to take over as Master. It would explain his operating from behind the scenes if he is bringing himself back from the brink of death.

Darth Plagueis is just his Sith name, like Sidious or Vader. We never find out his birth name. Perhaps it was Snoke.
