I would not put Rose in the next movie and wouldn’t even address it. Would just carry on like she was never there.

You could just start the next movie from where 7 left off and completely ignore 8 and it would be the most epicly awesome and bold thing ever done and outside of a few blue check mark twitteratti everyone would be thrilled.
They should Ghostbusters 2016 ep 8, it's like an alternate universe, that nobody will ever visit again.

TPM was indeed awful, but it's awful in more of a confusing way than an infuriating one.
TPM almost has some mild camp appeal compared to TLJ.

AICN is claiming Ep 9 will be titled Star Wars: Skywalkers. Take this with a grain of salt, but that title would actually increase my interest in the movie. Maybe JJ knows better than to throw that legacy away.
Bonus: Remember when AICN was a big deal like 20 years ago? The original MoviePoopShoot.com. Sigh. I think I might be old.

It's a very bizarre title and I'm not sure I like it, doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the titles at all BUT...
If that's what they ultimately go with it's a very strong indication they are directly responding to the backlash about episode 8 and Luke and how all the old characters have been treated in general in the Disney movies.
Disney will never officially disavow episode 8, that's a pipe dream, but assuming they have seen the light they'll just do everything they can to retcon or ignore it.
At this point episode 9 is likely to just be a lot of obvious fan service and over the top "wow" moments. It probably won't even be all that good, but will still be well received by the fans who def. prefer that over the episode 8 "experience" whatever the frick it was.

Nevermind. frick Star Wars and Ryan Johnson. I'm not getting all worked up over this again. This franchise is dead. Johnson killed it. Maybe it can be revived one day but certainly not the Skywalker storyline. That's been cremated and dispersed.
I just hope they go back to the casino planet and save some more animals.

Naming this thing Skywalkers would be a Hail Mary attempt to spur interest and honestly would appear desperate so I call bullshite.
In a few weeks when the first teaser comes out it better be the mother fricking champion of all teasers, like infinity war on steroids x10 level teaser or this shite will get crucified.

This. Luke is dead. Carrie Fisher can’t be a big role.
There literally is nothing about the movie I’m interested in. The villain is a whinny brat. The hero is boring. Where is the intrigue?
That’s why Infinity War was so intriguing. Thanos is such a deep villain. There is conflict, and intrigue with all the characters.
