Saw it today. I wasn’t expecting a SEKaiju cameo.
Now I understand why you haven’t watched it. Many actors can’t stand to watch themselves on screen.

Yet another retarded “rumor” that was called on YouTube. I’d bet the story line was paired down considerably after screening reactions.

It shows true dedication to the craft to stay in character even after the movie was released. Move over Daniel Day-Lewis, we have a new method actor in town.

That story line will probably be retconned eventually.

James Gunn made Jor El into a freaking Earth conjuring alien?
So Jor El can just conjure up earth at will?

Agree, didn’t get any US vibes from the invading country or the other. Only on the nose thing from that was the parody of the Putin horse picture hanging on the false wall in the bad guys office.

Were it not for a random autocorrect (corrected) that you hang your hat on, there’d be nothing for you to reply with.
Even though you knew what was being said because I posted the source. James Gunn himself.

The joke was even more lame than the freaking monkeys were in the movie. And yet you’re trying to double down on it? It shows how vapid your position as well as you having the humor of a special needs 6 yr old.
But you do you.
.

Lighten up, Francis. I know what you meant. I was just having a bit of fun. You, of course, know this, but apparently are incapable of such things.

So... youd DID see the movie and are making the determination that the monkeys are lame based on that?
OR... you haven't seen the movie and are making the determination that the monkeys are lame on... I guess... either what you've read about them or the very fact that there were monkeys in there at all.
They weren't lame. It was a funny little bit. And... a fairly good description of about 3/4ths of the internet and 100% of Reddit.

Jesus you guys really need to let it go. It’s a movie about a guy who flies and shoots lasers out of his eyes. It’s gonna be ok

honestly he has a point. They needed a cool black male character and this guy has charisma / is pretty unique in terms of superheroes. I feel like it’s something we haven’t seen before, almost gives me Shaft vibes
Is this version gay?
Just got out of it. Tried to turn everything off and just enjoy the movie. It’s pretty transparent though. Krypto was the best part by a wide margin. I’d put it 3rd in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, between 2 and 3.

Wouldn't be a proper superhero thread if it didn't have Kaiju throwing a fit now would it?

Was wondering what stupid fricking small thing you’d use as an excuse to not see it so you can instead just parrot horseshite from whatever rage influencer you are currently mainlining.

Why? This is James Gunn proving that he did not in fact crack the Superman code. So instead, he’s trying to be edgy by attempting to screw with the canon. Just like Taika Waititi, and his “wreck your mythos in a minute baby“ attitude. It’s the best these idiots can do when they don’t comprehend the source material. It’s Rian & JJ screwing up Star Wars. These hacks relish messing with the original works because it makes them feel in their minds superior to Lucas or Branagh. These clowns yuk it up to cover the fact that they can’t direct a competent movie to save their lives.

Well it’s played for the Harem jokes and the fact that the first part of the message is the polar opposite of the second part. He also oversold its validity so obviously it seemed like he was desperate to have the audience believe it immediately. That entire plot point is nonsensical from the message itself to how it’s deciphered. You maybe right though and I maybe giving him too much credit.

Do you even understand why that bit is in the story. Because James Gunn wanted to insert himself (again) into the movie. Why? Why was he being “attacked“ by the social media crowd? It’s because of the weird and grossly inappropriate “jokes“ he made about touching little boys. Ha ha ha. What a funny guy. But because people have some sort of crazy objection to a grown arse man making such comments, he feels he was the victim.
It must take a special kind of narcissist to be held accountable for what he has done. And then point the finger of accusation back on the Internet.
