Am I the only one that is happy that the star basketball player is dead. He was a big pain in my arse throughout the season.

Gf loudly cheered when he got sliced in half. I was over the guy too. The whole cultist devil worship had gone over the top for me by the end of it.

So, what have the real-life actor couple of Nancy and Jon been doing the last couple years? They both look crazy thin and aged to all hell.
Season was damned good, but I felt like the last 30 minutes were too neat and drug on.
Max probably should have died, and the adults in Russia should have suffered some sort of loss.
Also, I disliked how they showed up to a post-apocalyptic town two days later all happy and shite. It seems like the other actors have passed up Finn Wolfhard, unless he’s being directed to be like that.

I took them showing up to town as them not truly realizing what had happened, especially Hopper and Joyce. Hopper’s cabin is on the outskirts of town. He probably didn’t even see how bad things were, just knew something bad happened. Plus, you have to think how relieving it is to see friends, especially how tight they all are which hardly anyone is considering the shite they’ve been through. It can really light up a dark room during some dark days.
I definitely thought killing Max was the right move. I’m ok that they didn’t as long as it serves the story and the characters. I still don’t think the made it out unscathed even if she’s alive. I was fine with it overall. But yeah outside of not clearly understanding Vecna/Mind Flayer and how that relationship works, I would say I’m kind of surprised there wasn’t a death in Russia with it being Murray or Enzo. That’s probably my only negative from these two episodes

Also don’t think it’s talked about enough but Eddie shredding Metallica while quite literally in the underworld is def a top 3 Stranger Things moment. It was cheesy but not too cheesy and actually played a purpose in the story and Eddie’s arc as a character

And the timeline situation didn’t get answered of the upside down, unless I missed it.
The Duffer Bros. have said in interviews that they'll explain why the Upside Down is frozen in time in Season 5.
They also said there will be a time jump in Season 5 which I'm wary of. Not sure how that'll work.

I think Vecna is in Max’s body and Max is dead. Sadie Sink will be back in season five but she’s now Vecna setting off a showdown between her and Eleven.

I kept yelling for Steve to finish him off with the axe. But we had to have the girl power demonstration.

Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul

Mad Men
The Wire
The Sopranos
John Adams
Deadwood
It's like a laundry list of boring, basic white male water cooler shows.

I'd be curious to see if anyone compiles a list of all the movie references from this season.
You had the obvious Nightmare on Elm Street references, you had the Michael Myers mask/music, Dustin sorta looked like an Ewok in the finale, the Red Dawn references, and Nancy had the Sarah Connor vibes in T2 when she was shooting Vecna with the shotgun.

Dramatic Kate Bush is great, but dramatic Separate Ways is better
Also, if you need a laugh, go watch that music video. One of my favorites as far as cheesy ones go

Re: movie references, I’ll have to go back and watch Aliens and then E8 again but I think when the military invaded the missile bunker for El the commander said “quarter and search in pairs”
I think that’s the same thing Apone told the colonial marines when they went in the atmo plant in Aliens.
If so, that’s a sweet subtle nod.

I am glad that storyline is over but he gets a lot of heat while Not being that bad of a guy.
He was well intentioned just misguided

What?
He was the representation of the whole satanic panic movement and completely misguided the whole town. And then went after the kids violently based on his half baked moronic theory.

I mean people were floating and being broken in mid air.
Misguided but satanic cult isn’t so crazy when the real answer is telekinetic second dimension full of monsters.

That’s how it should have happened! Steve played a bigger role in episode before, really stepped up. They give him the first few minutes of the last one with the superhero landing and the talk with Eddie and Dustin then kept him bound by the vines pretty much rest of the show. Should have let him cut the head but oh well.

Letting Nancy give the final blow is a girl power moment?

Was anybody else screaming “just throw it!” when Robin was lighting the Molotov when Vecna was ALREADY ON FIRE
Posted on 7/2/22 at 9:21 am to Sun God
The SO was like “Hey, you don’t even need to light it at this point. Just throw the fricking thing”
