Episode 8 seemed like all star wars to me.
El's "training suit" looked like stormtrooper armor.
Her lifting the pod with the force.
The entrance of the army into the corridor was just like the beginning of A New Hope.

Well she didn’t really finish him off did she? She half assed it, shot him in the shoulders like six times, and Vecna got away.

This would tie back into it all being because of Elle quite nicely. By feeling the need to save Max, Elle inadvertently left the door open for Vecna. “You’ve already lost” probably knowing it would be in Elle’s nature to save Max

Perhaps since time is frozen in the upside down, and the portal between Hawkins and the upside down is now open time will stand still in Hawkins. Five years pass, but nobody in Hawkins ages…something like that. Hawkins is effectively frozen in time as of the “earthquake”

Just finished 8. That Nancy chick is going to die soon, and I don't mean the character. Holy shite, she looks bad. They're barely able to conceal the pock marks on her face.
The show continues to be great, but there are still some setting errors. People in Iowa in 1987 didn't say 'dude' much less 'my dude' and the Army didn't start using Humvees until 1989.
Also, they started playing boomer music from the 60's. Irritating.

I took it a different way at the beginning of the season with Mike being gone. I’m probably wrong, because Hollywood/netflix, but I was really hoping for a rope a dope.
Jonathan calls out that Will is gay, and Will is befuddled/confused…it’s Elle that he’s fallen for, and that’s what he’s struggling with

I think They leave it open for her mind to come back.
It’s interesting thought because she lived through the Vecna attack and talked to Lucas. As far as we know Vecna hasn’t attacked her sense and medically she didn’t die.

Season one Hoyce tells the biological dad that she knows he is “different”
Season 2 or 3 Mike yelling “I’m sorry you don’t like girls”
He did his project this season on Allen Turing
The whole “you feel like a mistake” speech.
He’s gay.
He’s also 14 in a small town in the 80s. Its gonna take a lot for him to come out.

Don’t get me wrong, Dawg, Sammy. I’m not throwing a fit. I don’t care if Will is gay, it doesn’t matter at all.
Just what does it contribute to the story? Maybe he sacrifices himself to save Mike, who knows, but wouldn’t he do that as a friend anyway? The plot line itself just doesn’t add to the overall story for me personally. There’s enough content and complexity to hash out without adding odd monologues, poorly acted, of Will crying.
I digress. Didn’t mean to derail the thread
boys, looking forward to season 5, whenever that may come

Best season easily. I was cracking up so much when Will handed Mike a drawing/painting of him like I had referenced with the Wedding Crashers gif earlier in the season. Nailed it!
Eddie was the man and it hit me in the final episode that he’s like a young Robert Downey Jr. I’m sure he will get a lot of new roles.
Was definitely expecting Steve to die along with Max and Eddie and kept waiting for a Nightmare on Elm St ending with someone dying at the very end.
Awesome, awesome season.
