The ooze is from TGRI. Dustin's turtle falls in it in season 4.

Yeah, he became very one-dimensional. Very different from the Hopper in Season 1.
Probably my one complaint outside of Erica. Hopper was my favorite out of everyone. He had some dickhead moments in every season but he had some damn fine moments in them too. He was complicated in a good way. He was less of the sheriff And more of just a dad/bachelor They dumbed him down a lot.

BTW, who the hell decided the Ell custody deal? Hopper legally adopted her at the end of season 2, but that custody wouldn't have conveyed to Joyce. I found it weird that she was leaving with them although I'm not sure what the alternative was.......
An 11 custody battle wouldnt have really fit in with the rest of the story.

Probably going to have to rewatch the entire season for a second look at it but overall it was another strong season. Not as strong as the first but better then the second.
I'll start with the things I didn't like or really care for. Most of Hopper and Joyce's story was pretty meh as it was basically Russian terminator but I did like Alexi. Sad to see him die just as he was loving America.
Also Erica was just really annoying. Hoe many times are we going to see a little annoying rude kid character? Sure she's smart but I rather get arse get left in the upside down.
Favorite character this season has to be Steve by far. Dude has easily redeemed himself and I was glad to see him live. I didn't mind Robin's coming out but I did feel bad for Steve. First he falls for Nancy who never loved him then he strikes out all summer only to fall for a lesbian. Give this man a win
The Steve/Dustin/Robin story was the best by far but did like getting to see Mike, El, and the gang be kids. Besides Will, poor bowlcut bastard. Lucas giving shite advice to Mike was great
The ending was possibly my favorite ending to a season yet. Eleven gets sidelined which means the rest of the crew has to step up. Hopper "dies" and leaves behind a great letter. And somehow the writers made me feel for Billy and get upset over his death

What is your favorite ST advertising? Baskin Robbins, Coke, Nike, Bürger King, and even My Little Pony have ST gear.

H&M, polaroid, and Levi’s too

I just don't see why Hopper didn't run back to the control room after he threw that Russian dude into the machine. Nearly spent a whole minute staring at each other before she shut it off. They didn't think they could spare a few more seconds to spare his life too?

I guess you didn't see the wall of electricity blocking his way.
Pretty sure hopper was sucked into the upside down and came out in Russia. He was the American they didn't take out to feed to the demogorgon

but whyyyyyyyyyyyyy Russians
It's cool to hate the Russians again. For a long time it was Germans, then Commies of all stripes. During the cold war it was Russia and for a brief second Canada. Then 9/11 happened and for a while it was Arabs and Muslims. Trump gets in office. The Russians interfere with the election and boom, back to Russians.

When were Canadians enemies?

No I just remember a time in the 90s that we had a lot of fun at Canada's expense. Remember Canadian Bacon?

why did they waste 5 of their last 100 minutes on that ridiculous bathroom "I'm a lesbian" scene. In 2019 that seems plausible. In 1985 - no. How did that move the story forward? The last few episodes - and I'm still waiting to watch the last one - have had complete wastes of time.

Just finished and loved the season, especially the final five episodes.
Steve continues to be a badarse. I want him to end the series becoming a cop, following in the footsteps of Hopper.
Jonathan and Nancy’s relationship woes were well done and their hospital episode was awesome; very scary.
Loved the Russian connection and Alexei. Great villains.
Someone started cutting ridiculous amounts of onions in my living room during Hopper’s letter in Ep. 8....love that guy, hope he’s “The American”
I was pissed about Billy but thought he was really good this season. He and Maxine both are really good actors.
Excited to see where the Byers/11 are moving to. If they don’t give me a Mike/11 happy ending in S4 I’ll riot.
Dustin is the man. Love his nerd schtick.
Lucas kind of sucks. Acting just never feels on par with the other kids. I really liked his sister though.
The mind flayer monster was scary as hell and well done visually.
S4 will most certainly have to tackle who “The American” is, El getting her powers back, El/Mike relationship, Will Byer’s connection to the MF/Upside Down, Russian/US conflict, killing the mindflayer. I think there is just enough meat on the bone to produce a great final season.
That’s it, I’m done.

sneak peak from season 4. one of the zombie rats in season 3 was able to escape before getting melted down, only to find a broken jar and green stuff all over the floor. the stuff mutated him into a giant rat and he'll likely be the villain for the 4th and final season...

My idea for season 4 is to have the Chernobyl reactor meltdown be due to the mindflayer, or the good guys stopping the Russians from bringing in the mindflayer. This season was Summer 1985 and Chernobyl is on April 26, 1986, so the timing matches up.
Or it could just be that I'm watching the Chernobyl miniseries on HBO.

It was mostly canadians making fun of themselves eh.
