The BBC made great miniseries from Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Smiley's People. I'd like to see a miniseries made from The Honorable Schoolboy.

Not a book but I would like to see a Horizon Zero Dawn tv show. Would probably be expensive as hell to do it right.

Origin story of Mr. Miyagi. Learning karate from his father with Sato, coming to the United States, living in an internment camp, his Medal of Honor action in World War II. Dude was a bad-arse.
They also need to make a movie or series about Joseph Beyrle. His story is wild. Jumps in with the 101st on D-Day, gets captured, crosses paths with Rommel, several POW camp escape attempts, tortured by the Gestapo in Berlin, finally does escape, and ends up with a Soviet tank battalion and helps to liberate the POW camp he was in. Gets wounded, and meets Marshal Zhukov. Meanwhile, the Army tells his family he’s dead and they have a funeral service for him and everything. The only American to fight with the US Army and the Red Army in War II.

The Natchez Burning Trilogy
Are they complete fiction, or based on true stories? From the summaries I've read, they sound a lot like the true stories of the Klan in Natchez and Vidalia that the Concordia Sentinel editor wrote about.

Combo of both based on the articles that Stanley Nelson wrote, local talk about a few people with ties to the Marcello operation, some JFK stuff thrown in, and a typical Greg Iles murder plot.
Growing up in the area they were pretty fun reads trying to put together the fictional characters to the real people they were based on.
ETA if you’re a fan of his work or even just familiar with it this trilogy is kind of like a fan service universe crossover with several characters from the Penn Cage series and a couple more from other works of his all making appearances and becoming involved in the plot. It would have been the perfect swan song for the Penn Cage character, then Southern Man was published.

R. A. Salvatore has written so many books around this character. There is so much content they could pick from to make some of the best movies. I believe if they did it right it could be epic. Loved reading all these books. Drizzt is one of my favorite characters of all time.
