given peter parker's origin story (which btw, they should just fricking skip that) there is no way to do it with a black peter parker without pissing off everyone either through racism, implied racism, or treating everyone like they're an idiot
Like how I get annoyed when they shoehorn a black character in a fantasy film. the new OZ movie and the desolation of smaug come to mind. people know when they're in there just to be there and it's distracting and insulting to their intelligence.

So here are the options for the black peter parker's origin story
black peter parker picked on by white kids, his uncle shot by a white mugger...riiiiight, such an accurate reflection of the real world. Plus you'd piss off and alienate the majority of your movie going audience
black peter parker goes to predominately black school, gets picked on by black kids and his black uncle is shot by a black mugger...some will say they've made spiderman ghetto, others will say they're portraying him as a stereotype
black peter parker gets picked on by an obviously predetermined ratio of kids, his uncle is shot not by 1 mugger, but two (ebony and ivory) beating us over the head with the fact that the movie goes out of its way not to be racist instead of going out of its way to be a good movie. I guess you could have his murderer be Hispanic (that would go over well

personally, I could go for version 2. It would be like the wire meets spiderman. That's actually what spiderman needs...something different

1. Peter Paker shows up in Civil Wars. Dies. Marvel relaunch with a black Spiderman.
2. Miles Morales is Spider man already and get's kill in Cap 3 movie, white boy Peter Parker will pick up the mantle of spiderman.
3. Odd option. Peter Parker is Donald Glover like the fans wants. Dies. Miles Morales is white.
SPECIAL OPTION: Directed by Tyler Perry
There is no Peter Parker. Miles Morales interact with white girl Mary Jane and Blonde girl Gwen stacy. Nails them both. Wish fullfillment done.

Do they want this series to be killed before the film is made? I actually like, in general, the Morales storyline. However, I don't think it translates well to film. He's not a very charismatic character, which is exactly why Peter thrives. Everyone loves Parker.
I don't believe this for one second. Peter's story fits this world far better, his character fits far better, and he's too iconic.
I'm usually ok with these kinds of decisions (except for Ghostbusters...blah), but not this one. It's Parker. It's always Parker. He has a better plug for chemistry with stuffy Cap and annoyingly intelligent Stark.
