It seems that they are prone to cut pre-recorded sketches if they have to cut anything. It's a shame, because this was better than anything that aired live. Similar to the Liberty Mutual commercial spoof with Shane Gillis.

I think Yang has a good spot in the show with the rare Weekend Update appearances and then maybe 1-2 scenes per episodes.
The JD Vance thing was weird and almost felt like a holdover until they find someone else.
