Did they explain how the vampires were able to overcome the invitation rule and break in to attack them?

A vampire movie set during prohibition in the Deep South is so distinctively American, it’s going to be a tough sale overseas. But this is an absolutely amazing film. I’m going to see it again this week to support it. We need more films like this!

Saw it last night with D-Box. Really enjoyed it, Coogler / Jordan don’t miss together. The big dance number was amazing . Didn’t realize it was an original movie idea until this thread. Yes we have to support stuff like this.

caught a 9am showing here in the Burgh and it was nicely attended for Easter Sunday.

Happy for the New Orleans team that made it come to life ... a nicely done film, especially the musical numbers. A little corny at times for my taste, but Ryan is certainly a visionary.

The Asian chick "invited" them in when she screamed.

“Stacks you’ve been robbing trains and banks”. I’m sure Josh Allen really enjoyed that scene, Good movie for those wondering.

Thanks. I didn’t question it until after and I completely blanked on that part.

Word of mouth is insane with this movie.

Almost all sales are walk ups.

saw it this afternoon with my oldest.

i liked it a lot. great music. both of the big sets were fantastically directed.

i don't think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread like everybody is making it out to be, but it was really enjoyable. I'd actually compare it to Black Panther where people are treating it like a 10 when it's a really good 8.5. i know that won't be popular.

i don't like gore and they did a decent job of not making it so bloody and disgusting that somebody like me couldn't enjoy

Saw this tonight - a great theater experience. I haven’t enjoyed a movie this much in the theater in a long time.

I went in cold without even seeing a trailer which made it even better. I went in thinking Michael B Jordan played twin vampire hunters

Somehow, I was even more oblivious. I thought the premise was a couple guys made a deal with the devil to be successful musicians or something. I didn't even know it was about vampires.

Y’all are lucky. Because the trailers showed way way too fricking much. From all points in the movie

Don’t shoot me for asking, it’s simply a question because of a podcast I was listening to. I have been amped since the first trailer I saw. But is there a substantial race component or implications to it? It was an all black podcast crew so maybe it was just for the jokes or something
