Simple solutions to movie plots/problems

What are some movies that had easily solvable problems, but the solutions would have killed the whole plot/story before it ever took off?
My example of this: In The Fellowship of the Ring, why couldn’t Gandalf just use his magical eagles from ROTK to fly the ring to the fires of Mount Doom before it ever even becomes an issue? No huge battles, many lives saved, etc.

Every single episode of Seinfeld would have fallen apart with cell phones

This has been answered so much that this was probably the first thing A.I. learned:
Flying the eagles directly into Mordor would have failed. A giant eagle is massive and highly conspicuous, meaning Sauron's aerial forces (the Nazgûl and their fell beasts) would have spotted, intercepted, and shot them down instantly.
Further, J.R.R. Tolkien established that the Great Eagles are not a "taxi service". They are sentient, proud, and independent spirits created by the Valar and would have been easily corrupted by the One Ring's power. Because the Ring demands dominion, a powerful Eagle carrying it might have become a massive threat itself. Finally, the success of the quest relied completely on stealth; Sauron's gaze was entirely focused on war, allowing the Hobbits to slip into Mordor unnoticed.

Because they aren’t his magical eagles.

Coming to America has the same issue. Lisa would have looked up Zamunda on her phone.

I still contend the whole slave fighting thing in Django Unchained was unnecessary. Waltz just had to say he's a rich German who will pay extra for a German speaking slave. Candie had no special use for her otherwise.

I should have prefaced that by saying my knowledge of Tolkien lore is minimal at best compared to others

Just think Pearl Harbor wouldn’t have happened with GPS and satellites

99% of westerns would end in the 1st 10 minutes if the Indians or villains would simply shoot the horses instead of at the people

Aliens would have resulted in less deaths had they nuked it from orbit.

If I would have picked up my own pizza my girlfriend never would have slept with the delivery guy.

We ignored the radar images of massive amount of aircraft flying into Pearl Harbor, a Japanese submarine entering the harbor, intercepted diplomatic coded messages that ordered all diplomatic ties to be broken, a British intelligence report predicting the very attack that occurred, and finally, our own misguided ultimatum that forced Japan into attacking us. The FDR administration was criminal negligent and shockingly stupid in being surprised if they were even surprised at all. They wanted to enter the war, the American people did not.
My personal favorite:

Amy is wrong. The Germans’ staff was too long. They were digging in the wrong place.
To say that they would’ve figured it out puts a supposition on the Germans and Belloq that they would’ve been humble enough to admit their mistake which is not displayed in their character at all.
Belloq is also a bad archaeologist which is why the Germans are digging in the wrong place to begin with. He has a pattern of waiting for Indy to find the goods and then steals them.

Way to miss the point. Of course every thing looks clear with 20/20 hindsight
Anyway your example is a better one that people citing examples of plots that would be different with technology that didn’t exist 30-40 years ago when the movies were made

But if Indy weren’t involved, then he wouldn’t have saved Marion in Nepal and the Nazis would likely have tortured her until she gave them the medallion. With the actual medallion, the Nazis would have had the complete info from both sides of it, figured out the staff’s length, and found the Ark.

And Belloc’s ego would have compelled him to take the arc to a secret location to be the first to open it. It would end the same way.

My point was that the Nazis almost certainly would have found the Ark even if Indy hadn’t intervened with their search for it. Hell, they probably would have eventually found the Well of Souls even without the medallion. It was right there in the same area as the Map Room, and Indy’s crew excavated it in no time.
Regardless, Indy does serve a valuable purpose. He takes the Ark back to the USA and away from anyone else who might have discovered it on accident and opened it up on the island or elsewhere.
Besides, you don’t necessarily have to save the world by the numbers to make for an entertaining story. Indy’s involvement alone makes the pursuit of the Ark more interesting.

imagine what would have happened if he had overruled Belloq’s objection and it had been opened in the Reichstag, and the carnage that happened on the island was inflicted instead upon Hitler and his braintrust?
WWII might never have happened

I’m trying to decide if I’m bored enough to test this theory.
