Wish we could have seen more of “Troy’s” previous shifts and spent more time in silo 1 this season. We should get plenty of silo 1 time next season and I hope we get some insights on the status of the other silos. He did mention that one silo had figured out the safeguard pipe before 17’s rebellion.

One of those lit up is 17 which definitely did not make it
I think the highlighted ones are ones that had a rebellion and/or Safeguarded. They were just about to Safeguard 18 and it's lit up.

A dome over the silos, yes. Think about the "good tape" and what happens in the airlock before they go outside.

Daniel has his memory wiped and becomes Troy and repurposed as a "Specialist" probably at the urging of Thurman. Think about it, he saw the apocalypse happen, to not wipe his mind is an unreasonable risk....to not wipe everyone's memory is an unreasonable risk from "the Founders" standpoint especially if you want a compliant population

“Invisible” nanobot technology isn’t that big a leap for science fiction. IRL, IBM is using sub-nanometer tech to build chips the size of a fingernail with a 100 billion transistors stacked on it.

A few hundred years and a few generations, wiped history....
It's unlikely the term nano, robot, or nanobot are even in their vocabulary

No i get that but nothing in the show has shown that it alters a persons character or morals. Just their memories.
Maybe it does and it’s why his sister turned gay and fulfilling Alex Jones prophecy of “turned the frogs gay!”

If they wipe his memory couldn’t they just tell him what they need to for him to step into that role? The doctor mentioned that they pick and choose when they were treating Charlotte.

It is interesting to think about and I've been pondering the difference in Daniel to Troy. Is our character/integrity/moral compass a part of us or is it learned and developed through experience? The case of Troy points to the latter and shows that you could simply wipe someone's memory and then "rewrite" them as a different person. Interesting and would make a good study if the ability to wipe someone's memory did exist.

I would suspect that in the case of Daniel, they wanted all bridges to his past in the up position and rebuild him like they wanted. Turn your biggest potential liability into an asset who will enforce your policy. It's genius and diabolical
