I recognized every name, even though some of of the faces were really young when the photo was made.

One Of These Things (Is Not Like The Others)
One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?

Did you guess which thing was not like the others?
Did you guess which thing just doesn't belong?
If you guessed this one is not like the others,
Then you're absolutely...right!

Such a random assortment of actors I like. Wonder what the purpose was for this?

Cruise hits me as one of those, "I'd better stand on the back row, because I'm so tall" guys that gets back there on his toes.

They did a good job getting a lot of Paramount veterans all together. Barely got Fred MacMurray in time, as I think he died shortly after. It threw me a bit seeing Victor Mature, as I never really associated him with Paramount, but then I remembered "Samson and Delilah" (1949). Nice that they got Buddy Rogers, representing the silent era, although too bad they also didn't get Mary Brian and Esther Ralston, who were with the studio for even more years in the silent period. Fay Wray could have qualified too, as she was under contract for a few years during the silent-talkie transition period. But I think she lived in NY. So did Syliva Sidney and Eddie Bracken, who were also Paramount stalwarts. Some others might have been too old or infirm at the time. Wasn't Claudette Colbert still alive in 1987? Paulette Goddard was with Paramount for many years. Lloyd Nolan was also very busy at the studio. But can't recall if he was still around in 1987 either.

I had lunch one time at the Paramount commissary. Although I think it was originally the RKO commissary. RKO was originally next door to Paramount, but the studio lot was sold to Desilu, and then later to its adjoining neighbor, Paramount.
