Should I stick with Yellowjackets?

Watched the first two episodes and it seems worth continuing. Just curious what others thoughts are.

I watched Season 1. Not sure why I stuck it out, but I did. I've watched the 1st episode in Season 2 and can't bring myself to move forward with it.

I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes and gave it up. A lot of "shock" and "edge" but not much substance. Not sure why it has gotten so much hype, but to each their own.

Could’ve been very good but S2 made me realize they’re not going to do anything interesting with this story.

It had my interest to start but season two dragged along. I am not sure if I will continue to watch for season 3.

Slow burn for sure.
Plot lines get a little outrageous at times, but overall it was good to continue.
I will be taking a break before season two though.

Pretty much this. I enjoyed s1 enough, but was meh on season 2, and probably won’t bother with season 3 whenever it’s released.

I loved S1. S2 was good, but honestly was much more of a chore for me to get through. For whatever reason it was just far less interesting to me. Also, there’s a lot of shite in it that just seems to be weird for weird’s sake, instead of making sense and flowing naturally within the show. It also tried to be WAAAAAAAY too “artsy” this season, to the point where it sort of sniffs its own farts if that makes sense.
That being said, I’m still interested in it. But I feel like I may have S3 on a pretty short leash.

When they are that bbqd chick in the first couple of episodes in season 2, I said welp that’s enough for me.

quote:Bingo. The success from season 1 led to the writers/producers and whoever involved thinking this was the hippest/smartest show around.

Nah. I made it through part of the second season and bailed. It's boring. Apparently the season 2 finale is terrible and caused a lot of fans to be super pissed.

I watched both seasons and ended up being disappointed.
What could've been a great "Lord of the Flies" story with a modern contemporary female spin was destroyed by the addition of a supernatural element. To me it reads like women would never possibly stoop the horrifying levels of men without some outside influence that they have no power to deny.
It really starts going off the rails in S2. Particularly for the adult characters. They become cartoons.

I have the minority take in this thread, but it is currently my favorite active show on TV.
The second season slowed down, almost to a stand still, and only progressed the adult timeline about a week. Now I am willing to keep sticking with it because they allegedly have all 5 seasons planned out. Now the rate it is going that is probably entirely too much show if they have to have a slow season like the last one, but it on the other hand allows them the leeway to tell the story they want without rushing character development.
