Since there's already a crossover, how about them vs. the "Engineers". They both have that kind of poet-warrior thing going on, and those big chalky dudes might not like them messing with their product. Never happen, but it'd be a good matchup.

I actually enjoyed this version. It was a fun movie. I liked Brody as a non typical action hero.
So you get someone like the Rock to parachute in during the second one. Problem solved.
Shane Black can write great scripts. But he's really hit or miss.

Nothing is wrong with them but they tend to be formulaic and generic. The characters have already been written long ago so there is no real character development for the writers. No real new or original territory for a talented writer to really explore.
Look at how the fanboys react if you try to do anything different with the characters or storyline. They just want to see a live action movie of material they are already familiar with in the comics not anything new or creative.
Which is fine there's nothing wrong with that, I actually like my comic movies that way as well. That's why I think Shane Black would be better off using his talents on something he can me more original and creative with.

Or he could just stick with a formula he's already good with like the white guy, black guy buddy movies.
Personally I think Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is the best thing he's ever done and one of the best movies of the 00s. Wish he do more movies along those lines.

They kinda did this in Predators. I just want to say again that I really enjoyed that one.
Humor me: a sequel set in modern day times. A Predator comes to hunt, is discovered, Army sends a spec ops team in to find it and kill it led by the Rock, with Dutch as an adviser.
Come on, tell me you wouldn't be a little bit excited about a Predator movie with Arnold and Dwayne in it.

I'd like to see Predators take on Colonial Marines but I don't see how you could do it without turning it into another AVP movie.
