I haven’t watched it in years but the show used to be great.
Mickey went from one of my most hated TV characters ever to one of my favorites in his early arch (I stopped watching around the time he escaped prison and ran away to Mexico).
ETA: it’s always been pushed by gay characters so I dk why that’s now shocking to you all

Way too much gay stuff. Now Debbie is gay too. You’ve got Carl turning down hot girls for fat Mexicans and now this last episode he’s raped by a fat white girl because no condom. Sprinkle in Covid deaths, whites are mass shooters, rebel flag neighbors being Trump supporters and black voter registration and its unwatchable.

The problem with the show is that there are no real consequences any more. In the early season there was real shite going down like Fiona leaving coke out and Liam getting into it, Ian’s bipolar episodes, or Monica cutting her wrists. There were real “oh shite” moments.
Now every problem is sewed up by episodes end.

I lost interest two season in - Wokeness expected so that may not have bothered me depending on how severe it got. It's just that I didn't really like any of the characters, they were all so immoral and unlikable, and not in a Soprano's gangsta kinda ways just kind scummy unlikable folks.

I binged watch Shameless recently and while it had some wiffs of wokeness here and there in the early seasons, it became obnoxious around season 4 or 5 with Kev and V’s Latino foster kid and went downhill from there. Gay Jesus, Lip’s baby mama’s aunt, Mo White, it just got too woke for me. I didn’t finish season 9 and won’t watch 10.

I still watch it and think it’s a good show but they just ruined some characters by turning everyone gay. They gay scene in the Alibi bathroom made no sense and they haven’t even mentioned it sense then so it has no storyline anymore. It happened, now they pretend it didn’t.
Another thing is when Carl’s girlfriend was “taken care of” while he was in boot camp. If you murder a 16 year old and bury the body it’s gonna become a news story. They act like she never existed.

Try watching the last season or so of NCIS-New Orleans. You would swear that the only criminals in New Orleans are White Supremacists and Neo Nazis. I'd love to know when was the last time an NCIS agent arrested a White Supremacists or Neo Nazis - because it seems to happen every f*cking week on NCIS-New Orleans.

If you are a William H. Macy fan, then you might enjoy it. I've only seen the first few seasons, so I haven't encountered many of the complaints being voiced here yet.

Sounds like this season of The Rookie, honestly.
We're still watching it, and it's not as bad as it was after episode 1 of season 3 (that one was a continuation of the cliffhanger from season 2 and avoided a lot of preachiness), but the first few after that were just BAD.
You guys know I'm a fairly liberal dude, but frick me it was just so fricking bad. Literally every white guy except for Nathan Fillion's character was a strawman\caricature\stereotype. Even the other main white male character had to suddenly look like an insensitive a-hole for no damned reason. It's getting better, like maybe they got the worst of it out of their system, but there's still moments of over-the-top preachiness.
