hits Netflix next weekend I believe? I enjoyed the first season…Ben Barnes is a solid villain.

Just about finished the books, this is a case where the show improved on the books. The books aren’t the best.

Finished it already, was a good follow up. This season wraps up the 2nd and 3rd book of Alina. I never read the crows books, so don't know how many of them exist. They made a lot a big changes in the story and it has a much better path.

Ben Barnes is from the same mold as Lucifer's Tom Ellis. Both from England, so superior acting seems to be the common threads.

I enjoyed season 2 alot, though I can see how it might be a struggle if you arent familiar with the books as they throw alot of stuff at you throughout the season, including tons of teases and easter eggs. The Crows continue to kill it as a group, and Nikolai was handled really well. Excited to see what they do moving forward.
Also, just want to point out regarding the books, the Shadow and Bone trilogy is pretty much standard YA shlock, but the Six of Crows duology is fantastic, and the King of Scars duology is really good as well, especially at tying together the disparate characters from the previous stories.

There is talk of them splitting off the crows into their own show to do the Six of Crows book. That would be nice, they definitely had most of the best parts of season 2. Wasn’t gonna read the crow books, but you saying they are better may get me to read them. The three about Alina have been a chore to read, way too YA.
They did a good job of adding in action and actual deaths to try and get the YA more adult in the series especially this season.

I thought that season 2 was a mess. It seems like they couldn't get enough material for the main storyline so they made other stories more front and center. Hated they put in the gay and also the other romantic stuff. Alina is a bitch btw. I'll probably be out from here on out.

They skipped a lot of Alina getting her arse handed to her in several other locations. She was even more whiney and inept in the books.

Geez. Thats no bueno. My two favorite characters are leader of the Crows and shadow dude. I feel like they are carrying the show hard. Alinas friend-zoned person is cool sometimes then a bitch the other times.

I’ve found that fast forwarding through the gay scenes greatly improves the show.

Really wasn't impressed with the second season over all. I liked the first season better. The last episode was weird and I didn't like it.
