Dear lord. I have hated Dylan Baker since that movie. He was so good in that disgusting role that I actually dislike the actor.
Not a fan. For me, this is almost on the level of Requiem for a Dream for the most uncomfortable I've felt watching a movie.

I'm just glad someone knew the movie off the top of their head. I first saw it late night on HBO or something similar when I was in high-school. I brought the dvd to work once and played it in the break room. Apparently I worked with a bunch of snobs lol.
My bestfriend and I will quote the movie all the time..... especially the 'wet' line that Hoffman asked.

The Shootist
Being There
Loved "The Shootist". John Wayne's final movie of his long career and a great cast with Jimmy Stewart, Lauren Bacall, Scatman Crothers, Ron Howard, Harry Morgan, Richard Boone and Hugh O'Brien.
"Being There" with Peter Sellers playing Chance the Gardener, a simple minded, humble man and being mistaken for someone with great insight and intelligence.
That puts me in mind of another similar type film with Don Ameche in "Things Change". He's a simple living guy who shines shoes for a living and looks like a double for a big time mob boss who's in serious trouble with the law. Lots of plot twists with this one that I won't give away.

Red Rock West is sublime.
John Dahl is an under-appreciated director.

The Hidden Fortress (how we got star wars
Lol. A buddy of mine saw a print add in the paper for the movie at the Prytania Theater and the advert said the movie that inspired Star Wars.
He thought it would be some kind of sci-fi movie. He wasn't expecting black & white subtitled samurai movie. I think he forced me to leave about 20 minutes into the movie.

Ghost Story - 1981

Two sleepers, two genres:
1) 'The Other Side Of Midnight'
(Wifey will like and you will be entertained. And there's a twist)
2) Woody Allen's 'Sleeper'
Guy goes in for an operation in the 70s. Awakened in a future fascist dystopia. A RomCom that the wife might also enjoy. Hilarious gags, still funny.

Wasn't Michael Beck also in "The Warriors"?

Ooops. Wrong Beck.
It's JOHN Beck.
