You might be right. Go back and look how bad Turk's teeth were in season 1 though
I never noticed till someone said something.

They should bring her back as sort of a guardian angel type. The actress is still alive. But she would be great to help out with everyone's emotional shite this season (and there's a lot of it). I don't know why I was thinking the actress herself had died too, but she is still alive (75 years old) per google.

Yeah. Hopefully season 2 they bring Shirley back and take those 2 gay stereotype nurses out.

The 80's style wrestling fantasies is one of JD"s best

I love the classic scrub slip and falls
The whole Disney up storyline was funny.

they finally have a nice house. I always wondered after 9 years as doctors why they were living in a small 2 bedroom apartment

I meant more the quality of the character. Ted was good for several laughs per episode. Doug as well. Janitor was always present. The new characters aren't filling those roles that well, at least not yet.

It was always going to be hard to find the same chemistry they had then.

It would be like trying to do Firefly all over again; even if you got half of the original cast back together it's hard to imagine they'd gel together as well as that original cast did.

That said, so far I have no real complaints. I can look past the few issues and enjoy the show.

Uhhh, did you make this analogy because of this rumor or was that totally random?

1000% random.

I'd watch a reboot with the original cast.

If true, I wonder who would direct it? Sadly a lot of the shine has come off of Joss Whedon, though maybe he can bring it all back together.

She was in more scenes last night, which is bad. And she was just as bad as ever. Yay.

She's horrible but I did laugh when said "Think about this. What if hell is real?" to the woman who wanted to die.

I liked the new IT guy. He was funny.

That actor was really funny as one of the students on A.P. Bio.

I think they could do it. But shame they killed off some people in the movie.

This thread has died off since the premiere.

Do people quit watching most shows after the premiere?

Some do for sure, that's always the case especially when a show comes back

I thought the episode was solid but a bit of a drop off from the first 2 which is understandable given the nostalgia blasts have worn off and Cox isn't there (for now).

I don't get into the weeds of things like I feel like a lot of people ITT have way overthinking things but I do feel the support characters are a little weak but we ll see, maybe a couple will develop into something. The original 4 have been excellent

The HR lady is a decent idea executed horribly mostly bc the actress sucks

3rd episode scored a strong .50 18-49 demo rating. The highest for any sitcom this week.

It's even posting better numbers than shows like American idol and George and Mindy on CBS. Never thought I'd see the day.

I hadn't seen the thread or else I would have been here earlier.

The new series hasn't lost a step, if it has it's so small as to be not worth mentioning. I know a lot of people don't like that JD and Elliot are divorced, but I think it really had to happen in order for there to be enough conflict to drive stories. Without enough conflict, stories become shlock.

What will probably happen is that through the run (if we're lucky enough to get multiple seasons) we'll see JD and Elliot mending fences but also likely having other love interests come into the picture, which will cause conflict, which will need resolution and also create lots of material for jokes and heart.

This show is a must-watch for the wife and I.

no one is even talking about the best couple on the show and top 10 tv couple carla and turk. I'm sure cox and Jordan are still together also.

That's what I hope will happen

‘Scrubs’ Creator Bill Lawrence Addresses Revival’s Renewal Chances After Strong Premiere Ratings: “We’re Really Hopeful”

Three episodes in, the Scrubs revival ranks as ABC’s No.1 series in linear adults 18-49 ratings. Coupled with the potent streaming numbers, the medical comedy has made a strong case for a Season 2 renewal. (Scrubs also has high scores on Rotten Tomatoes, 90% from critics and 95% from viewers.)

That would be great news for fans of the original and, in particular, one of its stars who is not in the revival’s nine Season 1 episodes.

As Lawrence told Deadline ahead of the revival’s debut, “Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) will be back next season. It just didn’t work out this year but it will next season.”

I really can’t think of any recent tv shows that have had me laughing like these 3 eps have.

Some of the interns/residents were a little less annoying in Episode 3 and bordering on being neutral and not taking away or distracting from the good stuff. I don’t remember Tosh filming herself. Amara flashes some Elliot idiosyncrasies at times that could be played up and be good or be very bad. It’s difficult to say at this point especially when I don’t know the actress at all. The bigger white guy with the Elvis hair is still annoying.

Still need less HR lady. It at least seems like they are trying to pivot character away from first 2 episodes with the Up references and comments I am not sure if the actress can pull off likable, but even shifting her to neutral would be a good thing. I also realize it was just one episode and may not be much of a pivot at all, and she could be back to full annoying in the next episode.

Gay nurse and sista nurse still need to go. Laverne or Laverneagain is needed.

Also, after recently rewatching the Turner and Hooch episode along with the episode where they put the soup square things in Hooch’s shower head, a little more of crazy Hooch would be good. Can’t have too much of him, or it loses its impact.

it looks like from the preview hooch might be going to poker night with JD and Turk next episode.
