Is that show after scrubs any good? Abbott Elementary ?
If you ask Hollywood, they're convinced it's brilliant. I refuse to believe that human fire hydrant Quinta Brunson is either a thing, nor is she funny. All that exists to convince folks to watch are the self-fellating throes of other LA people telling you that you should be watching.
ETA - I've watched a few episodes of the first season and saw nothing worth tuning in beyond that.

Just like the during the original run, there's such a good balance of comedy and heartfelt moments.
Went back and rewatched the first two eps last night and the man begging the new docs for help as his wife was outside in the parking lot was gut-wrenching.

I tried watching this show and it's just a bad rip off of the office and parks and rec with diversity. The main character has crazy bug eyes and they ripped off the janitor from scrubs. I guess to win and be nominated for Emmy's you need a full black cast so scrubs won't be getting nominated in anything. They stare at the camera way too much to seem funny.

Agreed. Powerfully unfunny.

MY POKER FACE
Episode 4 3/11/26
J.D. organizes a poker night with Turk to recapture old times. Medical and surgical interns compete, and Elliot deals with a patient obsessed with social media.

Oh cool. That’s just want this show needs: more focus on the awful HR lady. Yay. I like almost every aspect of the show except for that shite.
They are trying way too hard with the black surgeon chick. “Snitches get stitches”? Really? We get it, she’s black. And Turk’s black too. You can move on now.
We finally see the janitor. Can’t wait to see how Jan Itor infiltrates the hospital and takes over his job.
The interns are growing on me for the most part. I just hope they don’t become a major part of the show and are mainly used for background and secondary laughs like they are now.
Oh cool, apparently the local news cut into the episode halfway through to talk about tornadoes that may or may not happen. So now I can’t watch the rest of the episode and it isn’t on demand yet either. Dammit.

I like everything except HR lady - not only the actor that plays her but the forced attempted comedy and awkwardness. That role should exist but not in the way it's done. They're trying to make a new, worse Ted and giving her way too much screen time.

Not the old janitor, right. I didn’t see him.
I wasn’t expecting to see Matt Rife in Scrubs.

Of course not. But that was my point...we now have seen the janitor so it's only a matter of time until we get Jan Itor back in some capacity.

She wasn't objectively awful in last night's episode, so that's a... first.
I like the subtext that she comes across as a total goody-two-shoes, but in reality has a totally sordid past. Gambling, drinking, crack apparently.

She's playing the character right IMO. It's supposed to be annoying and cringe, but I like that she tries to be super PC but obviously is an incredibly flawed person that has a problematic past and has her own demons. No, she's not killing it every time in comic relief but IMO her character fits fine with the cast.

Caught the tail end of Scrubs last night where JD takes the interns to a bar and buys them a round of apple tini's. It was really uncomfortably bad. JD has always been a huge nerd/wimp but his character always worked on the original series because of the contrast with Bob Kelso (awesome and funny), Perry Cox (awesome and funny), and the Janitor who hated him (awesome and funny). What we are left with is just JD nerd/wimp or am I missing something (i admittedly only saw ten minutes of the show but it made me embarrassed for the actors it was so bad)? Seems like a feel good fest w/ bad jokes (hope you like old lady's 'cause you got a date with Granny Smith).

Exactly.
On the HR lady, I think she is awful in every scene she's in. And like I've said, that's a me thing for sure...I just hate the actress I think. But I think she is legit bad in all aspects so far. I don't mind the character, and I like the gambling backstory a little. I just wish it was played by someone other than Vanessa Bayer.

The Appletini bit would have fit right in during the original run of scrubs. I think it is a fair point though that the show would benefit from having a character like Kelso or Cox, or the Janitor to keep him in check on his nerdy / cringey behavior. Cox is still going to play a role this season and will be that check, but it won't be as frequent as the original series.

Hooch at the poker game made the episode for me.

Anyone else feel like the first 2 episodes were great followed by an immediate drop off? The ones that have followed have been kind of shite… like they focused all their attention on a great first two episodes and then ran out of ideas.

I thought episode 3 was the best out of all of them so far.
