Never got around to seeing it and I can't say why. Just never did. I've seen bits and pieces, scenes and such but I had only a vague idea of what I was watching. Holy cow, the movie is a trip.
But I didn't realize it had Anna Kendrick, Abrey Plaza AND Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the same movie. 3 of my personal weaknesses.

love that movie - also Capt. Marvel, America and Superman as well.

Surprisingly non-cheesy, almost perfectly stylized rendition of a video game, with an entertaining soundtrack — We are Sex Bob-omb.
Really a great (and probably underappreciated) flick.

One of the best movies made this millennium and probably one of the more creative comedies I've seen, period.

Brandon Routh was the best evil-ex. Great, great movie. Very rewatchable.

it's appropriately appreciated by everyone who has seen it.
and honestly i think most people who would appreciate it appropriately have seen it by now.
idk if that makes sense or not. i love the movie as well. but if it was more wide spread, i don't know that it would be more appreciated. my parents wouldn't give a shite about it, for example.

It’s the definition of a cult classic. It is very good but it is definitely made to be true to its source material, not bring its source material to a new audience.
I’d kill for niche movies like this to make a comeback.

That movie is terrible. Not even worth some over dramatic rambling or cursing. It just sucks.

hot take alert.

Not a hot take. It was awful. A bunch of high school seniors and college students didn’t even like it. Not even women. It’s weird and awkward.

Very entertaining and funny

It’s definitely a love it or hate it movie. I personally love it. It’s original and fun.

It’s a decent movie but my God it’s hilariously overrated. So many people in my generation acted like it was the greatest movie of the decade when it released.

It’s a soyboys wet dream. It’s a cringy movie that is not my cup of tea at all. To each their own.

I think it was a movie that was made for people or a very specific age. If you were 14 to 21 in 2010, and not a big jock, this was like catnip.
The only other movies that seem so tailor made for a specific subset of a generation are those early Kevin Smith movies like Clerks and Mallrats.

I re-watched that movie during COVID and really dug it. I don’t know why it wasn’t a bigger hit (my theories are a backlash against hipsters and the audience for it was too busy seeing bands and going to parties than to see a movie)
