Let's say Kelly and Benny cross each other out. Who was the better pitcher, Amanda or Kenny?
Also, how much of a factor would Tanner be? That kid was loco (in the best way).

Sandlot by a mile.
The thing that was always kind of funny about BNB is the age differences between Kelly Leak and the young Mexican kids playing, or Tanner. Normally the teams are grouped together by two years, like 8 and 9 year olds, etc.
Sandlot guys were all junior high school kids and all decent, with the exception of Benny who was really really good.
Bears were younger, with maybe only Kelly being their age and he was the only quality player on the team minus Amanda on the mound, who was 12 at the time.
Sandlot guys 10 run rule this easily.

Yeah this shouldn’t even be a question. Sandlot wins this by a mile. They waxed the floor with the legit Phillips who played on their own manicured field. And everyone hit the ball.
I will say DeNunez is an overrated pitcher though. Half the balls he pitched were not even close to the zone and people just swung anyway. Facing a keen eye he’d walk a lot of batters. But he was still likely better than most his age and even made all the way to AAA ball I believe.

Tanner would punch the Jet in the nuts. He’d be limping the rest of the game. Plus the Bears had Buttermaker. The Sandlot had no manager. I’m going with the Bears.
