Report: CEO of Disney wants Kathleen Kennedy fired from Lucasfilm

This information comes from Grace Randolph of the YouTube channel Beyond the Trailer. She cites an unnamed source working at Pinewood Studios (where all the films are shot). Bog Iger wants her gone but can't fire her (yet) because no one wants to succeed her as captain of a sinking ship.

Apparently, Iger has been displeased with the currently disharmonious state of the Star Wars Union and is looking to find new blood in an effort to reconnect with the spurned core fanbase. The stated goal – returning the Jedi to full four-quadrant appeal.
Randolph states, however, that of the many persons approached to take the reins of Lucasfilm – J.J. Abrams among them – nobody stepped up to the plate. She concludes that the current regime is likely to stay in place until an heir makes themselves apparent.

I dont understand why people think Star Wars is such a hard franchise to run. There are so many good stories to tell.

In my humble opinion, they should fire Kennedy and all of the people she brought with her into Lucasfilm. They are the cause of all of this and should all burn for what Kennedy has done to the brand. Bring in people who actually understand the material and the characters. Not only understand them but love them as well. Kennedy has neither of those qualities.

Way too much for one person to handle. Plus Feige is a marvel fanboy. He knows these characters as well as anyone. Do we even know how he feels about star wars?
