quote:
Dr. Evil: The details of my life are quite inconsequential.
Therapist (Carrie Fisher): Oh no, please, please, let's hear about your childhood.
Dr Evil: Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try it.

I saw the first one in the theater. I went in not expecting much at all. I remember laughing hysterically throughout the whole thing. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm 30 . I remember seeing these around 10 , 11 and laughing so hard . I watched the first one a few weeks ago and picked up some things that I guess as a pre-teen you dont realize .. but its still just as funny.
Great series . Funny shite. Now I feel old.

It gets better when older..
The line
" it's what the French call a certain.... I don't know what"
Is hilarious

I was like 10 or 11 when I saw the first one. It would take seeing the first Hangover before I laughed so much my mouth hurt again. I'm pretty sure Austin Power quotes encompassed most of my middle school time with friends.

You can tell who saw this as a child and who was an adult when it came out. The poop and pee jokes did nothing for me. My son thought they were the best parts.

I never knew how much they were making fun of James Bond, as i had never seen the old Bond films.
Been watching all the old ones in order and it makes Austin Powers even funnier to me now.

The look on Austin Powers' face when Basel tells him that he knew Vanessa was a fembot the entire time has always made me laugh

As soon as I posted that I thought, man I don’t know Bedazzled could top it.
But I still love her as Kensington, and it was her first major role so I was completely distracted by her every time she was on screen.
Still, have an upvote

Austin Powers: Hey! There you are!
Tourist: Hi... do I know you?
Austin Powers: No, but that's where you are! You're there!
