Now movies shouldn’t count for this, but Paul Newman’s “Fast Eddie” Felson had 25 years between appearances in The Hustler and The Color of Money.

Bruh. Tom Cruise was Maverick this year, 35 years later.

So has anyone mentioned that Florida Kim is wearing jean skirts, the female equivalent of jorts?

I noticed she sounded a bit different. Like she had picked up an accent.

How frickin awesome would it be if Tom Cruise came back as Vincent for a follow up to The Color of Money

Just saw it here in Spain (we are 1 or 2 days behind). I thought it was great, too. The juxtaposition of Kim's bland life now (debating over whether to use fake mayo) vs what she was doing with Jimmy/Saul was damn good. My guess is Saul will finally find redemption by turning hiimself in on the condition that Kim is left alone and he'll cop to everything.

The Alaska Airlines sign at ABQ jumped out at everyone. Maybe a red herring, maybe Chekhov's gun*.

I decided to rewatch El Camino last night after BCS (watched it the day it came out but was so high I couldn't remember the details).

Kim is miserable in Florida, Albuquerque has too much baggage, maybe she ends up moving to Alaska.

Jesse + Kim = ?

As for the ending, it isn't Vince's style to leave things up in the air. We have seen a final resolution for every major character from both series.

We will find out where Kim ends up and we will see Jimmy either go to prison or die.

* Was the Alaska Air sign before or after the flashback to her and Jesse in the rain? Maybe it was just foreshadowing a Jesse cameo.

Miracle Whip isn’t fake. It’s just mayonnaise with sugar.

And I find it hard to believe he'd be the first 15 returns for that. Its never been mentioned in the series he was a convicted Con Man.

Since when do you have to be convicted to be on youtube?

The worst thing about this whole episode is Miracle Whip guy just straight raw dogging and pounding Kim into the bed post.

Its hard for me to forgive her for that.

I've made a couple comments regarding this scene (around pg 12/13). I didn't react to the Alaska Airlines/Frontier signs simply bc it just seemed like the background of a normal airport scene. It was when she initially arrived in Albuquerque. I think people are just grasping at things, but it's worth noting that they didn't show her return to Florida.

Her final scene was her breaking down on the shuttle on her way back to the airport, then towards the end of the episode was the flashback to signing the papers with Saul & interaction with Jesse.

I 100% don't expect her to hop on a flight to Alaska next episode, but I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't return to Florida.

I think the biggest problem in the black and white gene scenes is the actor change with Jeff and making him a total childish weasel douche compared to the original. I don’t think they could’ve done this storyline with the original actor’s portrayal of Jeff. I think it would’ve been much more intense with another storyline for that arc. It just seems like they veered a good bit with the gene scenes. So much potential was there. I’m not mad with the end product. I just had high hopes for a bit more massive payoff given the time the writers had to work with is all

Agreed. The original actor was way more aggressive and intimidating. He had a presence that scared Saul.

Jeffie doesn't scare anyone.

It wouldn't really match up with her taking accountability for her actions. Give a deposition, confess to Howard's widow, then run away and hide in Alaska.

That's the whole point of that scene. That the Kim that we knew has completely given up on life and hates herself that much.

And by the end, she decided to man up and face what happened. She'll never be fully redeemed, but she's trying, and Jimmy is going in the opposite direction. I hate where this is going.
