We need to work on the ranking system. I don't know if only 1 book is enough to warrant Davos. Maybe a Rickon. Still a child in the readers' world, beginning to have your innocence challenged, but not quite ready to join the big boys (crackpot thread).

I'm pretty mad because Dance isn't in paperback yet like the other 4 I have are so I don't know what will happen when I get to it. And I'm book OCD so I can't have 4 paperbacks and 1 hardcover. I guess e-book. :/

ADWD won't be in paperback till October, but you can still get the hardback for $20 on amazon. I did the paperback compilation and the ADWD for $48.
Oh and I say after Clash you're considered Davos.
You're worse than my brother-in-law.
he bought some linen bound SE of AGoT and now he won't read the others unless their the same way.

Yup, sounds like we'd be frans. And I might not even buy ADwD if it doesn't have the HBO banner at the top like these. Just because I want them to all look the same.
Yeah the book OCD is that bad.

I'm on my first re-read of the series and I'm stuck in the first quarter of GoT. Stupid Grad school and summer semesters.
I had a similar issue. I bought books 1-4 on paper back when season 1 aired and finished them just in time for ADwD on hardback. Bought ADwD and finished it just in time for the airing of season 2. As time went on I saw my books looked uneven and funny...so I bought books 1-4 again; all in hardback to match the covers and to be uniform. Got them for a steal on amazon too.
Oh and I have a kindle too, but I just had to have ASOIAF in hardback. I couldn't pass it up.

I would think Tyrion is more versed that Samwell, but by your list I'm a Samwell, working towards Melisandra, so there might be something I don't know.

Your library probably has DwD (mine did). You can read it that way and then get the paperback for your collection when it comes out.

Is it because Sam is one of the few literate Night's Watchers?
