I think the reason I love 3 so much is because Apollo trains him and Clubber Lang was the second greatest Rocky villain.

The rest made me love how great the first was in comparison. I'd feel bad for Sly if someone else had ruined his franchise, but in this case it was all him.
Rocky is one of the finest films of the 1970's, which makes it one of the finest films of all time. As much "fun" as the rest were, none were in the same league as the first.

oh come on. 4 was just a little too over the top with the Russians switching sides to Rocky.
