I'm not sure about this movie. The previews have kind of turned me off. It doesn't look that good and it kind of gives me vibes of that horrible Adam Sandler Netflix space movie. Please tell me it will be better than the previews. I'm unsure if I will go see it at the threatre until I get some feedback.
Jesus. . .

I don't think I have disagreed with anything more. . .since some numbnuts said The Acolyte lightsaber battles were as good as the prequels

This post makes me hate things

I see there are 12 replies already but it is a great book by every metric. Movie looks fantastic.

Pascal may have more acting credits, but I am still not interested in watching Project Hail Mary

I can’t make you go see something but it’s a great book and I am wildly excited for the movie. It’s in my top 3 best reads in the last 10 years.

No homo, but Gosling has entered Cruise territory for me where I will go see most things he’s in because I truly believe he wants to make things that audiences want to see and be engaged in.

I think Gosling is a great actor. I really liked him in Blade Runner and the Gangster movie that he starred in. (Gangster Squad).

Drive is one of my favorites. Gosling is so good in it.

He's done 7 movies in like 10 years. Do you want an actor...not to act?

No. He can act all he wants. I was wrong. I was just basing it off all the commercials that I see with him in them. He is in big budget movies so of course I would see more commercials with him in them. The crux of my main comment was that I am not interested in watching Project Hail Mary.

Did Rocky frick your wife or something? You seem very adamant against PHM for some reason. So many posts for something you have zero intention to watch.

Variety's not a fan.

So forgive me if I say that it’s not a very good movie. There’s certainly an abstract commercial grandeur to it. I saw it on an IMAX screen (it will open on many of those), where it becomes the kind of bedazzling warm bath your eyeballs can sink right into. But here’s the rub. “Project Hail Mary” is way too long (two hours and 36 minutes), because there’s not much variation to it. It’s baggy and incredibly derivative of movies you’ve seen before — like “Interstellar,”

I saw that and I’m not discouraged. Every complaint he had is a reason I loved the book.

I just finished the book and was wondering how they would handle Rocky for the movie. CGI I guess

Whoever greenlit $250M for that niche Christmas movie should be fired. Anyone could have predicted that to be a loser.

It seems like that guy wanted a way more serious movie.

the book is funny, as was the martian. the whole point is to endear you to the characters with humor and misadventures and he basically doesn't like that the movie did that.

Or, when you know a movie is going to be wildly popular with critics, being a contrarian will get you the attention you crave.

Calling it derivative of Interstellar and a mash-up of Insterstellar and ET are cheap shots with no legs. The only similarity between PHM and Interstellar is that it's a trip to another star. The missions are completely different, and the way the stories are told is completely different. One story concedes defeat, the other fights back! Are all future space movies now derivative of Interstellar if it involves interstellar space travel? And ET is a child's encounter with an alien on Earth. PHM's encounter with the alien is at another star. Yes there's a bit of a cuteness factor but Rocky is an engineer interacting with an adult. Again, just low-rent cheap shots.
