Seen it multiple times and then saw the Broadway play last year. Got my playbill autographed by Culkin, Odenkirk, and Burr. CSB.

I love movies that are good purely because of the dialogue between the characters and don’t have to rely on anything else. Not many out there and Glengarry may be the best example of these.

How was it? I went to NY last August and it was already done so I was a bit disappointed.

I paraphrase the Baldwin speech more than any other, I think.

I know the Baldwin monologue gets the most recognition, but Jack Lemmon telling Al Pacino the story about closing the couple is the best scene imo

We went in May which I think was the last month it ran. It was great but there was no Baldwin scene/character, which I came to learn was invented for the movie adaptation of the play.

Movies like Glengarry Glen Ross would never get made in today’s Hollywood. Its story is too real, cerebral, and compelling for the Zoomer generation. It would fly over their heads instantly.

What wouldn’t they get?

one thing that may fly over the younger crowds' head is Baldwin's contempt for Hyundai

in the early 90's Hyundai was a notch above Yugo. Could hear a Hyundai coming a mile away. Muffler shot after a year or so. made the Altima look like a Benz. then they went all in on the 100,000 mile warranty as a hail mary to convince people to buy regardless of the utter crappyness

Their quality improved a great deal in the late 00s to the mid-00s, just FWIW

Is that like a sequel?
