Just finished the annual viewing and for the first time in over 25 years of marriage, my wife watched it in its entirety in one sitting and got a little choked up at the end.

I've never watched this movie. It's not like other movies that I haven't seen, and won't watch, like E.T. and The Goonies, because they look dumb asf. It looks like I would enjoy it but not enough to match the hype after all these years. So every year I skip it because I don't want to be disappointed.

I don’t know why they cut so much if that out. Sounds like it was great dialogue and that Candy nailed it.
