Not all that excited about the Cars sequel. I think the second one struggled with a "much weaker than the original" story.

The Incredibles though.. I hope its all about the baby!

Cars was okay.
Cars 2 was a piece of shite.
Pixar needs to quit with the sequels and out out original movies.

The Incredibles is still my favorite. Will be tough to even remotely come close. I have zero interest in another Cars.

Watched The Incredibles again this month. Great movie. I always wondered why there hadn't been a sequel.

I liked The Incredibles, but it's pretty far down on my list of favorite Pixar films. I never really understood the sheer anger from some folks as to not having a sequel yet.

Cars is pretty much expected. The merchandising alone brings in ridiculous cash for Disney. Plus with Cars Land at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, they have to keep the franchise in the public eye.

I really don't have a problem with sequels is they have a solid story to run with. All 3 Toy Story films are fantastic. They've run their course, but now the franchise is living on through shorts and holiday specials....which I absolutely LOVE.

it's funny how a bunch of adults are bitching about a movie made for kids as if it were a movie that should somehow be compared to the recent oscar nominated movies for best picture. It's a kid movie, and is soley directed towards kids loving it, not adults. Do you all bitch about how you don't like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Doc McStuffins too? I mean those shows can't hold a candle to The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad and all the other awesome crap everyone on this board boasts about.

My kid loves Cars. I'm excited for another one to come out FOR HIM.

This is such a bullshite excuse. I guarantee you can still watch the Lion King and still appreciate it as a film rather than just a kid's movie. It is just an excuse for hacks to put as little effort as possible into bullshite like Dora the Explorer. If these hacks had to make something even for teenagers, they'd be eaten alive. Disney and Pixar have always been great on walking this line. They are more than kid's movies. They are films for everyone. Something doesn't need to be bloody or vulgar in order to be good. You can talk to kids and adults simultaneously without treating the kids like they're idiots. Watch Toy Story 3 and with its themes and who the film is targeting, and tell me its a movie only made for kids.

True. A really well done kid movie will not just appeal to kids but to the spectrum of ages. Remember small kids don't take themselves to the movies and young teenagers are often dragged along with the family.

One good recent example, imo, is Peabody and Sherman. I really enjoyed it for its high brow humor and historical references. My 8yr old loved the story and my 13yr old bridged both age interests.
