So I never heard much about this show, but since Josh Brolin is awesome in pretty much everything he's in and I'm a fan of westerns and sci-fi, I gave this a shot.

Just finished the season finale and damn, that was a really good show. Not gonna give any spoilers, but I'm curious what others thought about it?

Kinda surprised I haven't heard more hype around it. I hope there's a season two.

Found it engaging. Brolin plays a pretty good crusty redneck. The homages to Twin Peaks were entertaining. Wish there had been more episodes for a big reveal instead of having to wait an indeterminate period of time for more - or find out if there will be more.

After watching this and Longmire, I'm interested in visiting northern New Mexico.

Far northern, if you skip over Colorado.

I really enjoyed it. I thought feud b/t the two ranch families was engaging enough even without the sci fi/supernatural elements. The acting was all well done too.

I've been to Wyoming, where the shows are set. Have not been to northern New Mexico, where they were filmed.

I've spent some months in central northern New Mexico. It is a different world there.

I'm just glad the Noxzema girl from the 90's is making a comeback.

Visited Las Vegas, NM in 2019 while driving Route 66. It was the filming location for the Longmire police station and also the hotel scene in No Country for Old Men. Pretty cool little town.

There was a fair amount of hype when it came out a year ago.

I thought it was mostly good, though frustrating at times. Josh Brolin is fantastic as expected. It was renewed for season 2 but no telling how long it’ll be before we see it.

Had the flu this week, and watched this. I thought it was entertaining but very slow at times. Did we really need to see the buffalo with the arrows wandering into everything and everyone 100 times? I would have rather had more character development of the weirdo neighbor than the forced minority/gay/oppressed drama with the sheriff. The scene in the church was completely unnecessary.

The mountain disappearing gave me Lost vibes, and then it was just never mentioned again. A bunch of people call 911 for that, but everyone is cool with a buffalo sticking its head into a bar in the middle of town?

I think season 2 is supposed to be released this year. If I'd watched this when it first came out, I'm not sure if I would have been interested in watching the 2nd season by the time it rolls around.

I started watching the first episode a while ago but got interrupted and never made another attempt to watch it, just finished Peaky Blinders so now might be a good time to give it another go.

Bump.
Never heard of it until I read about it in the second season trailer post.
Watched all 8 episodes last night. Finished at 4AM.
I was blown away.
