I watched season 1 when it came out and kinda dug it but didn't really have the interest to keep watching. Can someone summarize how on earth they're into 5 seasons? I figured 2 would've just about wrapped up any story there needing told.

Season 1 was awesome, but this one is so dumb. I don't know how I am still watching

Seasons 4 and 5 are absolute garbage, but it's like they tried to make 5 especially awful

It was moderately successful so now they just come up with new treasure hunts every season.

I think it got a nice COVID boost as people were stuck at home and content starved. Now most seem to be slogging through the final seasons just to finish it

My wife's from the Outer Banks and was psyched to watch it until she noticed it very clearly looks nothing like the real Outer Banks and was filmed elsewhere. Apparently that saved me five seasons of misery.

Some good Nola scenes in this one but the way they get out where they should have basically been executed at least 5 times is absolutely crazy. And the fricking blue crown story is probably the worst of all their treasure hunts up to this point.

They started hunting new treasures. First few seasons were good. But they killed off the best character last season and this season is a terrible.
