The Disney villain midget frog voiced old lady doesn't get enough shine here. Her monologues are as bad as Beth.
You know what's bad? That somehow she negotiated a personal controlling stake in Schwarz & Meyer when Market Equities was their biggest shareholder. Why? I have no idea. Why this makes sense for a business to hand over a billion dollar business to an employee? No idea.
After being booted, she remained in control of Schwartz & Meyer this entire time. Then sells a multi billion dollar business she was given for free for nothing other than a carve out of the real estate to be placed in a conservation trust.
Of all the crap in this show, that's the most ridiculous crap I've ever seen in my life.

She did that for her dad so that they could place part of that land under a conservation list. I believe this move meant no one would challenge her in court because she was giving them billions while also making that land untouchable as well.

I understand that. It's the ridiculousness of her owning a billion dollar business because it was handed to her. That's absurd. The. even more absurder, she gives it away.

No, the Milk River crosses the border, more than once. It is not itself the border. The border is roughly the 49th parralel.

that was explained
they were about to sue her for breach of contract and take it away from her anyway.
also thats the reason they gave it to her, they could take it back at any time if she didnt live up to her deal.
it was a smart move on her part to give it away and deny them being able to get it back. if they sue her she owns nothing, not even her car, so they might be able to get the $1,000 cash she has in her checking account, but thats about it

Why would a company hand over its controlling stake in a billion dollar business to an employee. None of it makes sense.
Posted on 11/22/22 at 7:10 pm to DiamondDog
Because Beth is the tornado, and everyone in her way is the trailer park.

thats the reason they gave it to her, they could take it back at any time if she didnt live up to her deal.
and they didnt give it to her, she agreed to do their bidding to earn it, and was supposed to get them their land deal
also they only gave her partial interest in it, the land and land use rights i think. yes it was worth a lot, but it wasnt the whole thing they gave to her.
they needed her to make their land deal worked so in the ong run giving her 1/2 $billion partial interest was going to bring back tens of billions with the airport and real estate deals they would be getting.
now the point you should be making is how they ever thought they could trust her to screw her own father over to do it. that is the real nonsensical part of making such a deal

They fired her like 2 years ago. ME is so incompetent they allowed her to keep it.
If its only partial interest how can she sign over the entire company?
The plot holes are 00 shotgun size bro.

she didnt, didnt you watch the show?
she gave away the land rights and then turned the land into conservation land so it can never be developed
that action bankrupted whats left of the company because it had no standing of value without the land rights or land
im no real estate lawyer but it all made sense to me except for them trusting her to frick over her own father
as for firing her, no they never did explain that much but that had no impact on her keeping what they gave her and they had no cause to break their deal and take it away until she took any action to hurt the company which she only did that very day on the show when she screwed them over.
this was all explained in the show when it happened, rewatch the show because it sounds like you missed a lot

Am I the only person who misses John Dutton’s usual ranch attire? He’s looked like he’s attending a funeral every episode so far this season.

No, the river turns and forms the border for a short run. Do you not have a maps app?

The Milk River? It does no such thing. Do you have a maps app?
Or are you just trolling?

I watched the first 2. Man- does Lainey Wilson show up again? I hope not. That chick makes soap stars look like Danile Day Lewis.
Also- whichever of you rated her as a 10 on the other thread...please get a girlfriend.

Do you?
Can you not see a scenario where you cross the river and there's Canadians on one side and Americans on the other here?

How about right here with the Red River?

Or right here with Lee Creek?

We all know the writing is pretty shitty. That's not why we watch. But this is a silly thing to complain about with the writers.

Yes, the river crosses the border several times, but no the scene with Canadians on one side and Americans on the other made no sense. The thieves wouldn't have to cross the river, they just needed to veer north.

Maybe, but it stood out among all the rest.
