What I think is up for debate is how simple the situation is. ie will the "Escape from Terminus" be 1-2 episodes or half a season or more.

I don't understand how it could only be a few episodes...they've been building toward Terminus basically this entire half-season.

I expect Terminus to last for at least half a season, if not a whole season and then some.

I think we can live with the very mild spoiler of Liberty confirming. But anything further needs to be left out. I was 99.999% sure they were cannibals without ever seeing one of the comics. Not going to get upset about .001% spoilers.

Backwards and forwards. Many times.

I don't post comic spoilers. I only discuss my thoughts on the show and characters at the time.

I'm using all the obvious clues from Terminus to say without a doubt that they are crazy cannibals.

I think they have created a bad set up for cannibalism. The clincher for me was Rick knocking the plate of food down. One of the others taking a bite should not have prevented Rick from doing what he did taking the guy with the watch hostage.

the show confirmed it to me they were cannibals not my prior knowledge. This arc has just started and it is so different we have no idea what is going to happen. Which is what we have tried to get across to non-readers for years now. What I think is going to happen is entirely based on what I saw in the show.

I get that, but what I've tried to get across to readers is that your "guesses" with the show is based on knowledge of everything that happens in the comics. Thus, you aren't just randomly guessing based on the show...you are "guessing" based on the source material; it's not mere speculation.

And that sucks for nonreaders.

But at this point, I seem to be the only one in here currently who sees it that way, so it's whatever.

it's weird

setting up terminus probably means a good portion of the show

however, the premier making rick the ricktator again, would be somewhat wasted if half of the next season was spent in custody

And like I said, it seems like they'll need outside help to take such a well armed and manned facility down, which goes back to the Zombie Horde that showed up and left the plot line with the Terminus broadcasts.

no you're 100% right and the comic people will never understand, no matter how much they attempt to filter the discussion

I guess you're missing my point.

It's one thing to have nonreaders in here assuming it's cannibalism (which I do and most seem to agree on). Discussing that, and why, is cool and fun.

It's different to have readers in here confirming this with certainty because they know that cannibals are in the comics and there is only a matter of time before they're on the show.

TigerATL made a perfect case of why to doubt cannibalism (even though that's what it seems to be pointing to).

I honestly thought Terminus could be legit and they would skip the Cannibal storyline (and the attempted molestation). If I told you what I thought Terminus was that would definitely be a spoiler. GN people know what I mean. I didn't have any clue they would be cannibals at all until it confirmed it for me when I saw Mary pushing meat on them that looks ambigous. From real cannibals human cooks and tastes like pork, hence the nickname long pork. Mary was pushing a plate on them and it looks like Ribs.

I was vindicated once I saw the pile of not rotted, fileted skeletons.

And you're also using your knowledge of the comics. That's all I'm saying.

And I'm not saying that "you guys are spoiling this omg!!!" Just that it'd be nice if there weren't readers in here CONFIRMING things. Sure, it's fairly obvious that cannibalism is where this is headed...it'd just be nice to discuss that with people in the same boat. Like I said, it's whatever at this point. We can continue.

I think they are trying so hard to make people believe these people are cannibals that the only thing that would be surprising is if they aren't cannibals.

And comic readers know so little about this story arc that that may very well be the case. There were cannibals in the comics but there was no Terminus. They could be trying to throw us off. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that everyone is still wrong about Terminus but that would just set up another Governor-type situation and that would be lame imo.

I think if you look at all the evidence, its fairly obvious what’s going on, hell the group even says something to that effect when they are running and they end up in the room with all the candles.

I honestly don’t see how they can find/cook that much meat to feed/support that many people without killing and eating at the minimum some of the people that get funneled into there (they were BBQing when all separate groups showed up).

There really is no other real twist they can throw on it from a show standpoint either. We've already had the evil group/dictator scenario; cannibalism seems to be the new threat for next season.

I understand that which is why I make my posts spoiler free and are just my opinions of the show.

Which we all know is worlds different than the comics

Even the last line of "they screwed with the wrong people.." felt weird since he was saying that from the inside of a locked train car.

There has to be something with Carl's hat. Another reason Rick was so adamant about needing Carl to come with him to the train car.

Rick spent the last year in a prison and he is a cop, I am sure he knows a thing or two about fashioning a prison shank.

Especially since we know they will send one inept guard to feed them.

They were both in there I believe. I know the mulleted "scientist" was in there, and I thought I saw the slutty chick in there too.

I'm betting they try to feed them only meat.

ETA: Nevermind, the powdered milk kinda ruins that for me.

I didn't see any livestock. No open fields to graze on. The foreshadowing of the snare trap teaching to Carl and the way they ended up in the railcar was just like a hunt. Plus the bloody remains(THX FOR THE GIF ) were not putrid decaying walker flesh. With all the people they had none of them looked starving or on any kind of rations.
All that equal soylent green is PEOPLE!!!!
