I would have like to have seen Gareth's nicknames for the rest of the group.

The farming flashbacks were the perfect opportunity to end the show revealing that Carl had something hidden in his hat.
When it fell off his head right before the credits rolled, I was expecting Rick to notice it thus giving us 6 months of anticipation knowing that Carl was going to save the day.

Rick put his gun and what was is a spare mag or his knife down. If he has his knife fine, but they just spent a year in a prison, surely he learned how to fashion a prison shank

Part of me thinks they did scout the place and this was sort of the plan all along. They just didn't show the scouting to add suspense. Or, of course, they could just be that dumb.

I'm skimming the thread, and noticing unreadable posts...I assume that was comic bullshite as usual? 
As for the episode, I thought it was a great epsiode but a very mediocre season finale. I feel like this episode should've aired last week and led to a great finale. So that sucks.
I'm interested to see what hapens next, and it sucks that it will be months and months before that happens.
Also, I agree with whomever said that they were waiting for something to be hidden in Carl's hat...I thought the same thing, and wondered if they were gonna set that up.
And I assume I wasn't the only person yelling at my TV for the Terminus people to shoot Carl.

Agreed.
I just don't know how an entire season or even a half season could be devoted to escaping Terminus.
I expect Terminus to be much larger than shown. Maybe even some kind of network. Escaping Terminus won't be enough. Rick and the group will realize they have to destroy Terminus in order to help rebuild humanity.

Overall, I feel this season was pretty good. Some episodes were filler, but I guess when you have 16 of them that's going to happen.
The group was put in situations that were new and made sense considering the circumstances, i.e.: the sickness outbreak at the prison and being split up. It will be interesting to see how the situation ends in Terminus.
I feel they will figure out a way to dispatch the threat and Terminus and then head on the road to Washington.

We don't even know what's going on in Terminus. Everyone is assuming cannibalism, but it's probably not that simple. I can see them taking 3-4 episodes just explaining Terminus through what happens to Team Rick. Then the rest of the first half of the season can be focused on the escape, which won't be easy.
Someone said maybe Rick escapes and hooks up with Carol and Tyrese, but Terminus had a lot of people with automatic weapons, high rooftop vantage points, and actual fences. This isn't Woodbury. And if that does happen Rick has Judith to think about which takes Carol off the board for help. Rick and Tyrese cannot take on Terminus. They may need to go find help somewhere, or maybe the "zombie horde" comes back into play and they lead it towards Terminus. The last time we heard about the ZH was the first time we heard the Terminus radio broadcasts.

I hope not, but they just spent 8 episodes for what was maybe a week after evacuating the prison. The slow 2nd half of this season was handled pretty well with minimal filler though.

There 2-3 good signs that that is exactly what is going on.
1) They didn't kill anyone. The kept them alive, not even putting a bullet in them. In a world with no refrigeration, you can't save meat. Keeping them alive is the only way. Also, the train cars with other people in them yelling help.
2) The scene where Rick is teaching Carl about the trap...making a path. Terminus is a trap for people.
3) The shot of the bones in the fenced area. They are somewhat bloody, and not dark and rotted as if from walkers.
