So do you think Matt and Trey really think "black people get away with anything," or are they making fun of whites for thinking that?

They are making fun of white people for being afraid to blame anything on or portray anything negative about blacks for fear of being branded a racist.

Which sadly is the case in America today. I'm just glad Trey and Matt actually pointed it out.
Just ask anyone who had to jump through all the hoops it takes to fire someone who is black.

All the "99%" scenes were pretty weak. Not overly clever or funny. But Cartman was on point in this episode. Still not the best episode this season.
I agree. My wife thought it was not that funny at all. I thought it was alright. No real LOL moments though. It was a pretty good social commentary though. Sometimes they can do both, like Rainforest Shmainforest.

Clearly the scenes were intended to poke fun at the whorish ways of the media. The point was well made IMO.

I don't know what it was about this one but it just felt so fresh. Hahaha. Instant classic.

yes, sometimes they speak through cartman and mr. garrison for their "rougher" opinions.

Yeah, I do not really see that. Matt and Trey are Stan and Kyle (I do not remember who is who).

Occupy the restroom was definitely funny.

Yeah, Matt and Trey almost always use Stan and Kyle to voice their own beliefs. I think that Mr. Garrison is typically a more extreme voice, whether it be valid or illogical.

They certainly have Cartman and Garrison voice their unpopular opinions, particullarly Family Guy and other feelings that may be seen as bigoted.

Cartman

I've always thought of Cartman as pure Id, seeking personal gratification with no regard for consequences, mixed with any prejudice/"-ism" that Matt and Trey choose to go after that episode.

Matt and Trey like to rip on the both the left and right. They do not see politics as a binary process where you have you have to be Democratic or Republican.

I love them for doing this...a lot of comedy shows like to claim that they do the same and are "equal opportunity offenders", but end up with an obvious political slant attacking one side and not the other (i.e. Family Guy).

This week on South Park:

New York, November 7, 2011 - Thanksgiving is just weeks away and the dedicated people at The History Channel are getting close to discovering the truth on an all-new episode of South Park titled, "A History Channel Thanksgiving" premiering Wednesday, November 9 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

After watching a Thanksgiving special on The History Channel, the boys believe that aliens were involved in the original feast. But, questions remain... was the first Thanksgiving haunted? Is alien technology responsible for stuffing? The truth could change Thanksgiving for everyone.

A History Channel Thanksgiving

Pilgrims, Native Americans, Asgard, and Green Lantern World. This is going to be a classic!

The Thanksgiving Episode would be a perfect episode for Randy to show up.

One of my favorite episodes is the Hare Club for Men Easter episode, so I have very high hopes for the South Park Thanksgiving history parody.
