Zemo is one of Captain America's older enemies in the comics. I like the way they've incorporated him into the MCU.

In fact, in the comics, I think the modern Zemo is actually the son of the original Zemo from the WWII. They may have been paying tribute to that when he spoke of the cars and things collected by his ancestors.

I thought it was a fun, action packed episode. The one big drawback for me is that I just can't really see that Bucky would propose or that Sam would go along with springing / aiding the escape of someone on the level of Zemo. If they maybe reveal that it was Bucky that tipped off the Wakandans that would maybe make it a little more believable, but absent that, I'm just having a hard time buying it.

I think he had little doubt they would be tracking them.

He definitely didn't seem surprised. And it almost seemed like she left the little vibranium gadgets there to get his attention.

Wakandans coming after Zemo makes more than sense. He killed their king. We may even see T’Challa in Boseman’s final role. Remember this show was supposed to come out last year, they may have gotten some scenes shot. Im not counting on it though, but I would like to at least see one of the main characters from the movie. I think the woman Bucky approaches was from Civil War.

I think there’s a -100% chance that there’s some secret Boseman scenes that they’ve kept a secret all this time, but damn if there were that would break the internet.

Y’all almost had me thinking SC was the Broker, but i rewatched the ep and she wouldn’t have sent them to the scientist who the Broker used if the Broker needs/wants more serum.

It's going to be hard to get me to hate a guy with THREE Medal of Honors. What did he do to get that? He casually said he had jumped on grenades multiple times.

I like his partner too. I can see them in the long run being allies not foes.

As far as this episode, I really like the actor that plays Zemo. I like that this show feels like Winter Soldier and the first half of Civil War.

John walker is so damn annoying.

His face is for sure annoying.

I couldn't believe his mom and dad are Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, and he's the QB in 22 Jump Street.

I feel dumb not knowing that

I think what he said he did was jump on grenades and cover them with a reinforced or explosion proof helmet. Sounds like something that is not without risk but not quite the same as Steve Rogers did when he jumped on and covered the grenade with his body dressed in a t-shirt and khakis Also sounds like it was kind of set up for Walker to do that.

Walker may well come out as a sympathetic character in the long run, but I think he's due for some type of meltdown where he does something really extreme in the short run.

I disagree.

On rewatch, Nagel seemed like he had a glint of recognition in his eyes right before Zemo shot him.

Man. Zemo is such a fantastic character. Getting him fleshed out a bit more is great. When the MCU hits on villains, they hit big time.

Also. Damn. Sharon really fell off the deep end. Wasn’t expecting that from Peggy’s granddaughter. But damn. Steve really did drop that arse to go back to granny though. Helluva jilt.

“Not gonna move your set up are you?” Bucky been waiting for that.

And Wakanda be pissed.

Best episode easy so far.

Man when Bucky turned around, if that had have been Chadwick standing there instead of Ayo..wow.

But still great nonetheless.

Could very well have been had Chadwick not passed away.

While potentially profitable, I don’t think they need him anymore. Whether its her or not. The Power Broker had power before this guy, they will have it afterward.

Edit: I’ll add that Sharon and the scientist both worked with the CIA. Both mentioned it in the episode. Its a possible connection.

Kinda a Gus Fring, Walter White situation I think. Does the Power Broker now have the formula? And if so, does he still need Nagel to keep quality going on an ongoing basis?

Would have been pretty great if they had Bryan Craston playing Nagel in a cameo.

He was also Corporal Ford in Overlord which is what I remembered him from.

I enjoyed the episode well enough. But of all the things I've seen throughout the MCU, the thing I have the hardest time believing is that Sam doesn't know to turn off vibrate.

He's an Avenger and an AF contractor for God's sake.

When that scene was happening, I thought for sure Sharon was setting them up to trap them and collect the bounty.

It’s a common action trope but I love how every time someone gets shot with a pistol, it’s an instant kill.

Bucky hits some guy in the shoulder with a Sig 9mm? Immediate death. Every time.
