It didn't ruin the episode for me, but I really hope every episode doesn't feel the need to have the token 'Sam is a victim of racism' moment.

Also the action scenes thus far have been movie quality good.

The “Black Falcon” moment was pretty damn good one.

I'm sure we'll see more of Bradley. You cant have that kind of introduction, just to never go back to him.

Especially when you cast Carl Lumbly. Excellent choice. Forgot he was Martian Manhunter for JLU.

Great episode. Definitely want more. The therapy session was great.

I hope we’ll eventually get better fight choreography ala Winter Solider. The tractor trailer fight was meh.

It was actually. I would have expected a blue falcon joke from Bucky.

I hope we see more flashbacks of Buck as the Winter Soldier, hopefully we get a fight scene of him and Isaih.

Also, since when did the government get so good at replicating the super soldier serum? I thought the whole deal with Banner/Hulk was that the Captain America deal was 1 of a kind. Thus Hulk was born.

I don’t think they were good until recently. There were lots of bad outcomes in the experiments to make Isaiah, a la Tuskegee. Now they have lots of Steve’s blood when they didn’t before I assume.

Assuming they used Steve’s blood samples for it in the 50s. Also assuming whatever they did for Isaiah was not overwhelmingly successful enough to continue. I think in the comics it kills many test subjects.

They had multiple samples of it in the 90s when Howard Stark was killed by the Winter Soldier.

Then Banner works with Gamma unsuccessfully.

Then they have some version of it again that is given to Blonsky. This version seemed to work physically. I don’t remember how new that version is, whether its related to the one from the 90s. I do remember it being in a Stark Industries cryo container.

Pretty good episode, I like WandaVision more so far (minus the ending) but this show is relatively solid. Sorta what I was expecting not having CA in it, two minor role guys trying to figure out what’s next for their lives and are trying to run away from their destiny.

The new CA gives me JV Homelander vibes, not psychotic and murderous but someone who will get burned enough to become completely devoid of emotions in relation to their mission.

Also really like Battlestar, actor seems like a good guy.

I’ll def finish the season but really looking forward to Loki.

I was fully convinced old Isaiah could have kicked Bucky & Sam’s arse in that house

Action scenes have been only saving grace

I dont think whomever is replicating the serum is good at it.

It probably has some bad psychological effects etc like Extremis from Iron Man 3 or something or maybe it kills most of the people you give it to like Isaiahs serum.

I hope they call it the 'Weapons Plus' program in this series..shoutout to Wolverine and Deadpool too I think

The evil white cops giving Sam a hard time ruined the episode.

It is pretty obvious that Isaiah's grandson is the one who called the police. They even arrested Bucky.

I think they are making Battlestar a likable character because that is where the big betrayal is going to happen. Here is my completely unscientific opinion:

Battlestar is the secret henchman for some really bad guys. He is probably the one who sent the flag smashers that text saying he will take the serum from them. He will get it, eventually use it on himself and Kurt Hawn, and Hawn gets manipulated into fighting Falcon and WS. In the end, Isaiah kills Battlestar, gets killed by WS trying to stop him from going beserk, Kurt Hawn kills WS, and Falcon kills Hawn and finally decides to become the new CA.

An then the cops arrest him for being black

Stop.

Let’s nip this in the bud before you think it’s a thing.

Great episode. I think Bucky and Sam work on screen together very well. Interesting dynamic in terms of their relationships with Steve too.

In re: to Sam giving up the shield because "it was the right thing to do"
To me it's pretty clear that he thinks there should only ever be one Captain America and that no one could ever live up to what Steve Rogers did and the type of person and leader he was. I can't blame him for that logic at all.

That’s Disney’s intention. Sam’s reaction is our reaction. By the time the hated Captain America moves on, we’ll all be on team Sam. Then we’ll accept him as Cap.

I had no clue that the dude playing Battle Star was 39 years old. Holy shite. He looked late 20s at worst. Looked it up and I am shocked.

So are the new CA and Batllestar super soldiers? They were going toe to toe with those other ones and he was slinging that shield like Cap.

Dumb question I know.

No, new Cap says in the interview he doesn’t have super powers.
