Chuck fricked up going after vengeance instead of justice. This whole thing was to prove that he didn't make a mistake. He didn't care what Jimmy did

Thought this episode was really well done and executed. I must have watched Chuck's melt 5 times because the way they captured the shot was just great.

Looking up slowly and zooming in...looking up captures how Chuck views himself, he is higher than you, the viewer, regular man. The Jimmy.

The zoom in slowly really brings out and portrays the nefarious and anger of Chuck. Chuck is not a pretty man physically so it just exasperated it.

I am impressed by this show and continue to look forward to it weekly.

Just finished it. Wow, great performances and it was nice to see Slippin Jimmy get his brother. Next week we see Saul Goodman.. can't wait.

I'm ready for the Chuck story to end.

Confirming that Chuck set jimmy up to confess.

It wasn't about a setup -- the fact that Chuck had an electronic recording device in use at the time despite his condition is pretty much enough evidence that Chuck was setting him up

Kim asked about the tape to force Chuck to admit that the tape still exists and would be played at the hearing
Chuck's condescending attitude betrayed him as while belittling her he showed his hand that he would absolutely be playing the tape
Once she knew about the tape being played, she knew that Chuck's mental illness would be relevant to the case
Knowing that the mental illness would be a central theme to the case, they could scheme to expose Chuck for his illness not being real
Chuck thought Rebecca was there to make him melt down, but she was a red herring -- he didn't anticipate the battery and being exposed, he knew he was outlawyered by Jimmy and he lost again, and like Chuck always does, he flew off the handle, boom, done.

It's the best directed show on television... There 5-10 minutes of nearly every episode that is high cinema quality stuff.

Great episode.. you feel Chucks arrogance and Jimmy's despair in blowing it up.

The realization for chuck that Jimmy bested him and is as smart as him, albeit in a different fashion, will be the end of the McGill name

Here is my post from 12:49 this afternoon.

I think Jimmy uses the defense that he just said that to make Chuck feel better. He flipped his lid when he found out Chuck is trying to ruin him. Now he has no choice but to prove that Chuck is in fact crazy. He will use the photos and testimony from Chuck's ex wife to seal the deal. I could also see him planting an electrical device under Chuck's chair without his knowledge. When Chuck shows no reaction he will reveal it and prove that it's all in Chuck's head. I will also be watching for more clues that J+K=S.

Chuck: Current has to be flowing for it to be a problem for me.

Jimmy: Look in your pocket.

Chuck: Oh no, a disconnected battery. Do I laugh my arse off at Jimmy? Nope. Time to go apeshit!

Another brilliant episode. Watching Chuck melt was so satisfying.

Again, I can't wait for next week's episode!

fricking hell does he still get disbarred?

I am thinking that Chuck's being crazy will be seen as mitigation for Jimmy's screaming tirade on the tape. Also there was an insert shot of the head of the panel giving an approving eye to Jimmy at work on the cross exam with Chuck.

Chuck had this disbarment of Jimmy in the bag - if he didn't testify. But whom the Gods would destroy they first make mad.

Chuck went Jack Nicholson from "A Few Good Men"

Just for the record - There is no such thing as a code red in the Marine Corps, nor is there the type of behavior described in that movie. Worst case on a light weight like Sanchez was to process him through the expeditious discharge program.

So why bring in Rebecca? Really didn't help Jimmy other than put more pressure in Chuck.

To help set up their "fake illness" defense and that date was the first straw

Which is why Howard kept trying to keep him off the stand. It's like even Howard knew that Jimmy was more wily than Chuck.

One other thing is I never would've thought an episode this season could be that great without Mike and Gus in it at this point

Chuck screamed that Jimmy stole the money from their dad's store. Can someone refresh my memory on that? Wasn't there a robbery or something?

Jimmy met a con man in the store. He was a bad influence on Jimmy and he started pocketing cash here and there.

my only issue with the whole scheme they setup is that it all hinged on a guy (Huell) successfully pulling off the battery drop who Jimmy has never known or worked with, whose services were secured by the veterinarian who presumably Jimmy also had never worked with before (although Mike is of course a solid reference). To me that's a bit of a stretch - but I can look past all of this if it means Chuck gets sent to the loony bin for good.
