Another classic, slow 10 minute waste of time intro that we have become all too familiar with for this series
Some of those scenes were very unnecessary, in my opinion. This was not.

Agreed.
Every scene with Chuck is a drag on the series and every scene in that dungeon is some of the worst tv ever produced.
That being said, I'm guessing they had to set up the ex-wife's return so she can testify that Chuck is bat shite insane.

That's true for most hypochondriacs, isn't it?

Outstanding episode. I'm so glad they didn't come up with some lame switched tapes scheme. Chuck's breakdown was great.

It seems like the writers are one step ahead of what gets assumed by the masses watching.
I was definitely waiting on a phone to ring in his pocket. Even when they showed the battery-less phone I still didn't think that was going to be in his pocket; I was expecting it to be a recording of Chuck that Kim made where he says he made a backup...basically proving he set jimmy up from the start.
Boy was I wrong.

I was on the same page with the phone. Thought either it was Jimmys, or Jimmy was going to whip out his phone and call the one that was planted.

Still not understanding why they were so happy hearing about the duplicate tape. Seems like it never had any relevance.

They were happy that Chuck was going to play the tape.
So they could build their defense

Confirming that Chuck set jimmy up to confess.

Chuck cannot be around anything electronic or has a battery. How does he ride in a car?

They knew that Chuck sounded crazy on it. Important that the board could hear that.

So why bring in Rebecca? Really didn't help Jimmy other than put more pressure in Chuck.

Solely so chuck would use the word Chicanery.

I don't know how to feel about this episode. On the one hand, Jimmy won and proved his brother was simply a jealous a-hole... But on the other hand, seeing a clearly mentally unstable individual complety unravel in front of everyone and everything he cares about was quite depressing.
I love how neither Jimmy nor Kim celebrate their clear victory, they know what they just witnessed and are not proud of it, but they knew it had to happen.
I just wonder how and why he decides to take the name Saul Goodman. Is it to block Chuck and any association with him out of his life forever?

I think Rebecca makes him change his name

I mean they got him with the battery trick, but he didn't really sound crazy on the tape.
Posted on 5/8/17 at 11:00 pm to JuiceTerry
He sounded off enough that he needed to say that he was playing up his symptoms.
