She stole that scene real quick and has been solid this entire season. Michael McKean has done an astounding job as well (somewhat similar to Skyler) where audiences dislike him or damn near want him dead even though he's not completely wrong with his beliefs.

Yes, however their stories end, Kim Wexler and Chuck McGill have become major characters in the Breaking Bad universe. Naturally, the first question I had after a few episodes of the first BCS season was, "Where are Kim and Chuck during the Breaking Bad years?"

And yes guys, this show is NOT BB. I'm just thankful that we can still enter the BB universe. I'm happy with the slow pacing because of course, we know where it will eventually lead. I'm on pins and needles waiting for a cameo from Walt, Jesse, or Gus, but hey, I know it will likely just be a cameo.

*****Breaking Bad Spoiler Below*********

But with all the backstory, I can't help but marvel more at Walter White. Of course, he was a genius, but obviously wasn't a physically imposing character.

Yet he came along and fricked shite up for some very powerful characters. He killed Gus Fring and Mike Ehrmantraut. Tuco Salamanca, Hank Schrader, Steve Gomez, and a host of others died because they were drawn into Walter's orbit. The first ASAC had to retire in disgrace and of course, Saul Goodman's lucrative run as a CRIMINAL lawyer came to an end as a result of him becoming Heisenberg's lawyer.

Wow. All this that started when a milquetoast chemistry teacher decided to cook meth to provide for his family. The backstory is as compelling as the story itself.

It's not like he was a criminal genius. Most of those people's lives were destroyed because Walt was a huge frick up. He did way more things wrong than right. In reality Gus would've put a bullet in his head early on.

Remember, we never really see Saul in BB out of the context of Walt and Jessie. He knows Mike, but that is it. Plausible that he is called Jimmie in BB, we just do not see it.

Rhea Seehorn talking about the BCS set.

"“A lot of people will ask is it just jokes and constant cutting up on set. It’s not. Bob and Michael McKean are both two of the wittiest people I’ve been around but they’re more like cerebral in their comedy than clownish, if that makes sense. So it’s not like there are sketches going on all the time but there’s a lot of dry, very high level wit for sure.”

Are there any legal ramifications for the way he advertises?

I mean, could he advertise as Saul Goodman in those cheesy commercials, but still sign all paperwork as "James McGill"?

If Gus had to be introduced this early on, it makes sense to be teased in this finale. I figured he'd make an appearance for sure in Season 3 because of the Mike/Hector feud.

Not sure how Mike will be introduced to Gus, but we all know that Mike becomes second-in-command in Gus' camp.

I'm going with Mike identifying Gus as having a role in the distribution chain. In BB, Gus is portrayed as too careful to take chances. But we see that he is willing to take chances under controlled circumstances - meeting in the desert with certain people in person. So my prediction is Mike spots Gus through the scope in the desert, does not pull the trigger on his target and initiates contact with Gus.

I bet the final scene includes at the very least, a meeting with Mike, showing him walking into Los Pollos Hermanos.

Do we see Gus or not? IDK. Knowing Gilligan and the momentum going into Season 3 without showing Gus will create, and the buzz around the show in the off-season, I would say not yet.

He has been recording the Saul Goodman commercial for the past three episodes. The American flag last night was the one in the Better Call Saul commercials from BB.

Was it? I remember the commercials but not the specifics. If this is true, another to VG and team.

This sounds familiar:

LINK

AP: : April 12, 2016

EL PASO — A Dallas man was arrested on the border while trying to smuggle over a million dollars worth of methamphetamine hidden in the wheels of his SUV, federal authorities said.

...officers found more than 50 pounds of meth, with a street value of more than $1.6 million.

A drug-sniffing dog alerted officers to something unusual in the rear of the vehicle.

Officers removed the back tires and found custom-manufactured metal collars bolted to the rims. The metal collars were cut open and revealed about a dozen meth-filled bundles.

I bet some folks are cussing that damned dog right now.

Nah, Hector killing the boyfriend happened in 1989 according to the "Breaking Bad" timeline - "Better Call Saul" happens in 2002. Max (Gus's boyfriend) has been dead 13 years at the time of these episodes.

Good point. However this still doesn't eliminate the possibility that Fring and Mike hook up under circumstances close to what I wrote.

quote:

And as for the "Jimmy McGill" to "Saul Goodman" name change - wouldn't it be hilarious if Chuck's "screw up" with Mesa Verde and his mental condition lead to the name McGill having such a bad rep in the New Mexico law community? So, we get a scene of Jimmy in front of a judge asking for a name change because "my brother so damaged the name McGill in the law community that I can't practice with the same name because no one trusts a lawyer named McGill any longer".

Is there any chance that Saul gets so ashamed of his actions that he cannot stand to be known as McGill after what happened to his brother? He loves his brother, and this could be another way to turn to Saul.

I'd be down for Mike walking into Los Pollos Hermanos (end scene) or going to meet Gus but they don't talk on camera. Save the build up for next season

The way Chuck's head bounced off that counter top, he might be dead, or at the very least fricked up real bad.

Not that I feel much sympathy for him.

Next episode should be a good one.
