Gordon had hit the jackpot for 15 yrs meeting Carrie/Ana. Hot wife who loves to frick.

I like the fact that Hood rarely seems to come out of a fight cleanly. Some "heroes" go through gangs of people without a scratch.

I do kind of wonder how much time goes by between episodes. People tend to recover rather quickly.

Ok I'll start with a comment that isn't really a spoiler.

My question is when casting all the female roles, did the casting agent have an item for them to check off that said "will agree to fully nude softcore sex scenes every episode"?

ok without further ado (coco? you up to speed?)

DONT SLEEP ON POST CREDIT SCENES AFTER EVERY EP

EP1 - well that started with a bang didnt it? i was hooked pretty quick w/ the walk out of prison, the barista and wrecking Job's shite i wasn't sold on Job at first but was solidly on the Job train by the end of the episode love his character! over the top? yep. fun? yep.

the way lucas and Sugar bonded was very believable and the introduction of that a-hole Kai didn't really sit with me at first...then of course after the incident at the party, its hard not to be a fan. "Your uncle is not a good man"

very interesting to have a gangster former amish as one of the main characters and i genuinely love shows where the characters are not stupid one-dimensional stereotypes (cough cough Avatar movies) but more nuanced. people don't just wake up and decide to be evil and Kai's speech about protecting the town was definitely heartfelt. He grew up watching people beat up his family and friends and it hardened him and honed his desire to take up for them.

lucas' run of women is pretty enviable but also believable within the context of this made up world where he gets the shite beaten out of him every episode 'trying to do the right thing' and that makes the women swarm to him.

then of course there's clay burton. loved his 'introduction' w/ the boxer's manager and the little cut scene at the end of that episode. very entertaining character and i look forward to watching his career with great interest.

so much going on that you almost forget about Rabbit who is the driving force behind the main characters but he definitely makes his entrance known later on.

anyway, solid fun and action; the boxer episode was particularly enjoyable and the interactions between lucas and kai are fun to watch.

yeah it take a minute for his character to "show up".

His interactions with other people is pretty entertaining.

the incident at the party

the look on Gordon's face when Carrie goes into battle mode.

Kai

not just some rich fat cat who has other people do everything for him. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty.

So far

It's the Barista
Rebecca (more than once)
The widow ( put that white trash cooter on him)

clay burton

maybe one of the most unique characters ever. Beware when he removes his glasses

the interactions between lucas and kai

Yeah, people including Kai keep asking why he isn't afraid. But, seems like he is highly trained and has spent 15 years in prison. what would he be afraid of?

I'm on episode two of my rewatch and I don't remember specifics about him but when I first saw him in episode one the first thing that I thought I remembered was that he was a complete psycho.

coco? you up to speed?

I am.

I’m enjoying the show a lot but it does grate on my nerves a bit with how unreal it is.

It feels like they made Lucas SO OVERLY aggressive to the point of unbelievability. I get he’s got an edge to him but Jesus he tries to fight every person he sees. I do like that he doesn’t just simply kick everyone’s arse and actually sort of loses fights (or comes close). But it just is so over the top. The fight with the MMA fighter was absolutely ridiculously stupid for me. And everyone standing there not doing anything to stop it was hilarious.

Similarly, every single woman that he sees immediately wants to frick him? It’s so hilarious. He literally kills a man and a day later his widowed wife wants to frick Lucas. I mean come the frick on. :lol.

That being said, I’m not complaining about the women and the amount of sex stuff is off the charts. And the scenes are pretty graphic even for cable tv. I mean shite, some of it puts GoT to shame. So that’s a nice surprise.

I really like the Amish angle to everything. I like that the main bad guy is a former Amish turned mobster (essentially). Kai is a great character so far. I also like the Rabbit aspect too. Although it seems strange that ole girl just infiltrates his home like no big deal and then disappears and goes back to Lucas. She also is a pretty shitty person and a terrible wife to her husband as of this point. I do like that they made her come off like a legit badass though.

Lucas immediately jumping back into stealing shite is also a little silly. But hey sometimes criminals just like crime so I’m good with it.

I like the angle with the existing cops and I assume it’s only a matter of time before he fricks the lady cop.

I absolutely hate Jobe though. He has definitely not grown on me yet. I can’t stand people who say frick every other word just because. It’s why I can’t stand Katt Williams.

The biker gang episode was laughable as well. These dudes just riding around smoking people in the face with metal pipes? And dragging people away, with no repercussion except Lucas going to kill one at their hideout. Like it just seems like no actual police work is being done. Which I guess makes sense since Lucas isn’t a sheriff. And the lady sheriff choosing to stay home alone was exceptionally stupid.

Also like the Sugar character. He’s interesting and I like how he just tries to make his way but still help Lucas as much as he can. And now he wants in on some crime shite, so that should get interesting.

All in all I like the show a lot. I do hope they slow Lucas’s aggressiveness down a little bit or else it’s gonna just get way too farfetched for me. But I definitely am in for the show and should be able to roll with at least five episodes each week (although the Olympics are slowing me down a bit on that front).

I felt the exact same way at that point but don't worry things start to REALLY go off the rails so you're going to have to just enjoy the ride.

I legit cheered one particular scene later in season 1 lol even though it was so far fetched. Really enjoying it much more now but you do have to realize it's going to be over the top.

Rabbit is awesome but I give his daughter some credit for knowing how he planned his defenses since she grew up with him and knew how to sneak in.. Once at least.

The Job/Sugar interactions are great.

Are you fricking kidding me. shite. This is how I felt when I found out those existed on Rick and Morty.

On season 2 episode 3 now but will not speak past 1 episode 5. I’m confused by the museum scene. What kind of job were they trying to pull? Seemed overly reckless. Not sure the motivation of a lot of stuff the Scooby Gang does.

Also Bow Tie Burton is very intriguing. Really want to see what this dude is capable of.

Homelander has no qualm’s about banging whatever is available. Me and the wife are like oh a chick we’ve never seen how long till Homelander taps that? 5 minutes later it’s on. The Amish chick is fricking smoke by the way.

Ok 5 minutes in and he’s gotten out of jail, banged a waitress, stolen a car, gotten in a high speed chase, crashes car, 18 wheeler flips over, gets in shootout in town square, and steals a motorcycle. This is not what I was expecting

The first episode starts out with a world class set of tits followed by complete insanity. I loved every minute of it.

It is basically four full seasons of that. Don't expect there to be any boring minutes. It is an amazing show and it was just the right amount of episodes.

It's part of what makes it great. So much more going on down the road. Just keep watching brother you're gonna enjoy it.

to be fair, he DOES try to talk people down first. He tried to talk Proctor's guys down when they confronted the real Hood. Even gave them an out after they crashed his cruiser and tried to kill him and Proctor.

The mma guy was a little different. he had just beaten that girl and raped her with a champagne bottle. The Siobhan gives him the "meet the new boss" line and pushes him over the edge.

though that was weird too, but, a few of my female friends think the actor is really hot so..

yeah, when the opening warning says "strong sexual content", it means it.

yeah, i was disappointed in that episode. i was hoping for something more. like an all out brawl between the bikers and the police with a little help from Proctor and Burton.

There are some pretty epic battles throughout this series. Hood is a "win by whatever means necessary" kind of fighter. I mean he shoved an A1 bottle down the guy's throat in EP1.

When i first saw the name of the show, i thought it was something with one the X Men.

Yeah that was my issue with that. I even kept thinking maybe it was a flashback because why the hell would he be trying to steal something that seems this “low level.” Not to mention he literally just got out of prison for theft. It just get overly sloppy and unnecessary.

I looked when he banged that first waitress chick and I believe it was something like 1:38 into the episode. And I was like well okay, we have a sex scene a minute and a half into this show. Interesting.

all of this. "you are the most notorious thief in the country"

gets stuck inside of a museum. i mean, i guess he needed money? or he's just a clepto? He DID steal a safe too.
