Then how was he able to completely kick not only Thor’s arse but Cap and Iron Man at the same time?

Sure Thor was fat, but Cap wielding Mjolnir and having Iron Man there negates that. They severely nerfed Thor while also buffing up pre-stones Thanos significantly. He went ham on those 3

Cap should’ve pinned him down by putting Mjolnir on his chest, boom battle over.

THey didn't. Full powered Thor post Ragnoark got his asked kick by Thanos. He was also killing Asgardian left and right who are no jokes btw. He didn't even use the stones until he had to. THe four jokers with him was not match for Thor combine.

Just so I'm clear...you apparently don't have an issue with someone hooking up with their aunt/uncle's spouse (which is still colloquially considered your uncle/aunt)?

IF you are okay with Danerys and Jon snow then you should be okay with Sharon Carter and Steve rogers.

Just watched it today. Good movie overall. It’s long, but I never felt like it was dragging. Also plenty of plot holes as there is with time travel.

However, Cap using Thor’s hammer and the Avengers assemble part was awesome!
I didn’t love what they did to Thor. Maybe falling apart a little would have been okay, but it was a bit much.
And I wish the Hulk would have had a bigger role at the end.

Overall, it was 20+ movies to wrap up in three hours. It was a good movie with good acting and action.

Hulk not having a bigger role makes sense. The stones pretty much "Bob Dole'd" him, rendering his entire right arm useless.

For Tony, it was much worse. Think Kirk during Star Trek Into Darkness.

Just got done with a bowl, about to have another one ready for show time.

Ready to see how this plays out. Was a type of lemon haze so I'm anxiously anticipating.

Yeah I thought Thir would lose the gut quickly. Once it got time for the fight I figured he would just do some weird “god” thing and be back to normal shape. It was silly for him to fight with the big gut.

Why? He looked more like the mythological Thor anyway. He’s had about 6 movies looking like a male model. Fat Thor was awesome.

I liked it. It added comic relief and at the same time added depth to Thor’s arc with the visual effects of depression instead of him just being pouty.

I ain't gonna lie, I got some chills. Saw it today at noon in IMAX. I would say its probably not as good a stand alone movemir as Infinity War, if that makes any sense, but it was a great ending to this chapter of the MCU. You could end it here and everyone would be mostly happy.

I think the three very different acts (dealing with aftermath and gathering the team, time heist, and final showdown) made the movie feel a bit awkward at times, but I never felt bored or ready for it to end. I also think Thor's fall was a deliberate move so he could fit in easier with the Guardians going forward. He's really the only original Avenger still active and making him slightly mad is pretty fun in my opinion. I thi I going forward Hulk will be more a background, tech and science character with a bug story every other phase or so until he's retired. Perfect endings for Cap and Iron man. Finally, the girl power spot was silly, but it didn't stay around too long so in the end I didn't care.

Gonna go see it again in a few days most likely.

Am I the only one that thought pairing Hawkeye and Widow to retrieve the stone on the most distant planet an odd choice? Plus maybe nebula should have told them about that whole sacrifice thing

I don’t believe she knew of the sacrifice. Gamora didn’t even know until Redskull told them, where she laughed and scoffed at him.
I think they assumed he simply killed her after getting what he wanted.

Probably my single biggest complaint after the time travel shenanigans was the treatment of Thanos. Went from intricately developed villain with established purpose and layers of personality to generic bad guy.

They were two different people. I actually liked how they did that.
Thanos in IW had to work for all the stones, killing Gamora himself in the process. That clearly changed him into being driven by only his one purpose of starting everything over. When he's going for the last stone in IW, he doesn't even kill anyone. Just moves them out of the way to get to the stone. And after he was done the dude just retires.
EG Thanos is still fresh on the trail of terrorizing the universe. He didn't have all that progress and transformation. He saw that what he did worked, but the survivors were bitter and wanted revenge. So he decides to go full scorched earth now. He doesn't have that level of loss from Gamora to ground him anymore so he says screw it, I'm gonna level this whole place.
EG is really the first time you see the true extent of Thanos fighting prowess outside of the first 10 mins of IW with Hulk.

Ok it's just getting really suspicious now.

I think there are bunch of overweight non-gym goers, old farts and/or socially inept dudes who are living precariously through fat thor so hard.

Could y'all make it any more obvious?

Go sign up for a gym membership yesterday.

The “I am Iron Man” was the perfect way for Stark to go out. That line kicked off the MCU in real life and that line saved it in film.

With that said - the “Cap time travel” story while it worked, I guess, wasn’t necessary.

I felt they could have had Cap go down fighting taking a fatal blow in order to get the glove to Tony with Tony following that up with “I am Iron Man”

I was hoping to see them really come together, work together as a true two man united front at the end against Thanos sacrificing themselves together (allowing the Civil War arc to come to full closure).

Follow that with the Cap/Bucky closure on the battle field as he dies and him passing the torch to Falcon.

Then having Thor go back (so he could return the hammer)

I need to go see it again when I’m able to just watch it instead of just sort of rushing it through to see how it’s going to end

IW will probably hold up better but Endgame was a great series finale.

Endgame was trying to do too much plot wise. The story could have been greatly simplified

Still have really good closure - especially for Stark.

I REALLY felt like they screwed up the Cap/Bucky/Falcon ending. That was just stupid.

Also in the cap vs cap fight...the current cap would have worked the first avengers cap. Russos powered him up when they took over at TWS

Does anyone know what the “forging” noise references at the end of the credits?
