Sharon is the granddaughter of Peggy Carter's brother.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to complain about that 15 minute Audi commercial before the movie started. What the frick was that, Disney?

I didn't have that, or any trailers. At all.

Theater I went to showed the generic movie trivia stuff with the lights on, and then at the scheduled showtime (7:05) the lights went off, and it went straight to the scene with Clint teaching his daughter to shoot arrows.

I sorta laughed to myself about that- I've caught a couple movies showing up at or slightly after the showtime, including the Shazam sneak preview; and I've never come in before the trailers stopped.
There were open seats with people still filing in, even when we got to the mayo on a hotdog discussion. That hadda suck. But then, that's why I got there 30 min early.

it will probably be addressed in Spiderman: Far From Home. they said it will act as a bit of an epilogue for Endgame.

Why are they going after the infinity stones though if the original snap didn’t happen?

If Thanos died in 2014, why is Loki, Heimdall, and Gamora still dead.

And why would stealing, and then returning the stone in 1970 affect the stones location in 2012?

Bc in this timeline the original snap happened. If you watch the ancient one explanation if the stones are returned with no repucussions the timeline goes back to normal, but that thanos went to the future and the moment he went to the future a separate time line started, so quill guardians timeline is now different. The New York timeline is different bc Loki escapes with the stone, thus creating another timeline, so we are now at at least 3 seperate timelines. And old man Rogers is apart of this timeline bc without time travel and stones he isn’t able to go back in time, but what it creates is another timeline separating from that moment he dances with Peggy.

When the mind stone is returned, none of that happens. Steve repaired/removed that alternate reality.

Yea not true, the stone gets returned to when it was taking, not before, so anything that occurs before it is taken cannot be undone. Loki getting a stone and portalling our cannot be undone, him touching past cap cannot be undone because he took the stone after this event occurs. The only way there is no change is if they get the heist without any interference or something bad happening and than returning right when that happened, so 1970 timeline isn’t affected, that Asgard timeline isn’t affected. Quills timeline is affected, New York timeline is affected. So we will have a sit there.

Only if you let it.

If you go in with the expectation of, I don't know, ENJOYING THE MOVIE, you will do just that. If you go in, however, looking to make sure everything is handled in a manner you deem appropriate, then you'll likely be disappointed.

Here's my take on Cap and Peggy.

Peggy marries Souza from Agent Carter in 1949 (1 year after Season 2 of Agent Carter). Souza dies in 1950. Cap returns 6 months later.

Sharon Rogers (not Carter) is now Steve and Peggy's granddaughter. As she has the serum in her bloodline she becomes the new U.S. Agent.

OR...option 2: Steve and Peggy's daughter is named Alisa (No longer Alisa Campbell). Her married name is Jones. Jessica Jones is now Steve's granddaughter.

You're ignoring all of the other divergent realities.

What other realities?

And the fact that Steve returning the Soul and Power stone to the 2014 branch doesn't magically bring back Thanos, his army, Nebula, or Gamora.

Hunh? I didn't say it did.

What I said is that we have the primary timeline (2019) and we have the alternate timeline that splits off in 2014 when Thanos becomes aware of what Future Nebula knows.

The Thanos from that timeline then comes to this one (because he's able to follow the path his Nebula took). The argument can be made that the divergence didn't really happen until Thanos & Co left for 2019, but that's so minor as to be meaningless (especially in the grander scheme).

The Thanos and Nebula from that timeline died. The end. The Gamora from that timeline is now in the primary timeline.

quote:

And it you're positing that old Steve has been around throughout the MCU timeline then you're also concluding that Steve made out with his daughter in Winter Soldier.

Unless that's not his daughter...

For the last time: Sharon Carter is Peggy's NIECE (Grand-Niece, as her grandfather was Peggy's brother who died in the war).

Or Steve marries Peggy after she had kids with Souza and Souza dies in 1950 and Cap never had any biological kids of his own.

Or Peggy and Souza marry and she gets preggers quickly thereafter so that by the time Souza dies and Steve comes along, she's a single widow.

Or that Peggy and Steve got together just long enough for the dance we saw and Steve found his love elsewhere.

I'm normally good with this logic. It's a popcorn flick, go have fun. The SJW/feminism hate is where people go searching for reasons to complain the most.

I enjoyed Endgame and didnt have a big problem with the time travel. That being said, I'm perfectly ok with people complaining about it. It's more of a plot hole than just something minor that's easily overlooked by everyone.

They went out of their way to explain the time travel and then they didnt follow their own rules. That is a legitimate gripe. I mean they make fun or a certain time travel and then basically do the same thing.

Alisa Jones being Captain America's daughter makes the female Captain America (Danielle Cage) a direct descendant of the original.
