At least Nolan and company had that ambition to overcome the perceptions of the genre, and to make a great, mostly believable trilogy based on the mythology. I'll take that any day of the week over the cookie cutter crap that mostly comes out.
I was indifferent towards TDKR for
The first day and a half until my gf wanted to see it because of all the talk amongst our friends
But even then I had to respect Nolan's risk taking with all 3 (moreso the last two)
I get people will like the avengers but I believe comic book heroes have more potential on the big screen and I'm excited to see man of Steel because, and it's only a teaser trailer, it looks used and gritty.
I hope DC doesn't try and copy marvel and do a JLA. I've been really impressed with Watchmen and the Nolan trilogy. The source material is treated like a responsibility not a gimmick

pretty sure the justice league wheels are already in motion

I hope those wheels fall off quickly

Exactly. MOS looks that way because Nolan helped it along as well as (I think) Goyer and Jon Nolan scripting.
The comic-con reaction was that it looks a lot like Batman Begins, and to me, that means good things are coming our way (as long as DC can sort out the Superman rights issues).
I believe the DC or WB president recently said that about a month after TDKR releases we'll get a plan for the future movies, which I'm happy about.
I don't think it is copying Marvel because DC has been trying to get a JLA film off the ground for years, but I do want to see it done right.

I agree. A lot of superhero movies have a lot of potential. Superman has amazing potential if done right, even though the character has been stripped mined. I just hope the Colorado shooting doesn't scare studios away from approaching the movies the way they approached Batman.
A JLA movie at this point would suck. The Batman trilogy was so epic and so fresh on everyone's mind, that having a new Batman so soon who would be surrounded by much more fantasy would just be extremely disappointing. JLA would be badass, but the groundwork hasn't been laid yet and it would just seem like rush job to copy the Avengers. Let a decade or so go by then start laying the groundwork.

Can we all agree that the bad arse version of Aquaman would be sick on the big screen? I think the effects with the ocean and everything would be great in IMAX.

Dude if you wanted to complain about the raspy voice and Bale looking like a runway model, maybe you shoukd have joined in 2005 and brought up that debate.

The raspy voice sounds kind of silly, and it has been made fun of plenty. But, to the other poster saying that it is unexplained: Is there really a need to? He's trying to protect his identity. So, he uses a raspy voice so he doesn't sound like Bruce Wayne.
What explanation is needed? It makes perfect sense, even if the execution was horrible.

It amuses me that he uses the raspy voice even when alone and talking to himself or with one other person who knows his identity (Kyle)

No she didn't know

Yeah, it's being done by Syncopy, which is Nolan's production team.
Zimmer is even doing the score.

She was surprised.
And during the fight, the camera intermittently zoomed back to her, and you can see how uncomfortable she was knowing that she betrayed Bruce.

Oh, and as for the "blast radius" debate:
A Neutron bomb actually has a smaller physical blast radius than other thermonuclear weapons, and does relatively minimal physical damage. The weapon is effective because it releases deadly radiation and kills slowly through radiation sickness. It is this insidious and cruel method of killing that got it banned as a weapon by international agreement in the 80's
Again, Christopher Nolan is banking (literally) on people not being astute enough to challenge his sloppy research and work.
Bruce Wayne made something that hasn't been made yet in reality so for all intense and purposes he could have made the blast radius what ever the hell he wanted to.

but like "Inception" and "Prometheus", this movie is drivel for the gullible. You can wallow in it, or look at it with a critical eye. I've led you to water, the rest is up to you.
I don't see how, it seems like for the people who love movies and appreciate good film. Movies like inception are great amazing movies. Because they are told in ways that you NEVER see, they aren't the typical plot, superhero is lazy or is some reject, some amazing thing happens to him and he is no longer lazy or a reject. He dominates everything around him, then some awesome evil guy comes and fights him off for a little the super hero finds his weakness and kills him.
while the plot is sorta like this Nolan did enough to make it atypical. The story telling in the movie was amazing as well. To see him mix elements of past batman ideas into this movie was very impressive.

His point was that with a neutron bomb, the "blast" radius is irrelevant.
Also, Wayne didn't make the fusion generator.

There's only one fight between Batman and Bane in the film, and Batman triumphed.
Disagree. I kinda get what you're saying, but Batman very much got his arse handed to him the first go round with Bane.
