Oh, and as for the "blast radius" debate:

A Neutron bomb actually has a smaller physical blast radius than other thermonuclear weapons, and does relatively minimal physical damage. The weapon is effective because it releases deadly radiation and kills slowly through radiation sickness. It is this insidious and cruel method of killing that got it banned as a weapon by international agreement in the 80's

Again, Christopher Nolan is banking (literally) on people not being astute enough to challenge his sloppy research and work.

It's a compliment to the quality of his trilogy that people harp on little things

Can you imagine trying to find the same problems with any of marvel's movies

well, people judge you based on your ambition for the most part. that's why Prometheus was destroyed by a lot of people around here.

if you only set out to be a popcorn movie then people don't worry about things like physics when Hulk is picking up giant objects and flipping them around

not because of any physical inferiority. There's only one fight between Batman and Bane in the film, and Batman triumphed.

I'm with you until this point. It seems that Bruce lacks the fire he used to have but bane is still physically superior to him

Until the last 15 minutes, I thought I was seeing the first Batman-less Batman movie. It was a terrorism movie, with a cheesy WWF guy as the head terrorist. Couldn't understand a thing he said until his speech on the steps of city hall halfway through the movie.

The only mildly interesting character was Catwoman. Christian Bale is unconvincing as Bruce Wayne--he looks like a confused runway model most of the time. The unexplained change to the raspy voice when he dons the cowl is just silly. Plot holes: did the prison leave the bionic knee brace on him while he was there for months? Did his knee just miraculously grow back all the missing cartilage? So Batman can get shanked in the kidney and the knife twisted during a 7 minute speech by the villain but doesn't have internal bleeding enough to interfere with walking around and piloting the Bat?

Christopher Nolan was also responsible for that POS movie "Inception". Figures. You people who think this movie was "epic" need a reality check.

Please nobody respond to tis crap. Decent thread/debate going on right now. Dont need to feed the troll.

No joke I think my main complaint is that Hines Ward took a kickoff to the house.

If you'll read it later, I'll take the time to write out my review and break down my issue with the movie from a story telling perspective

At least Nolan and company had that ambition to overcome the perceptions of the genre, and to make a great, mostly believable trilogy based on the mythology. I'll take that any day of the week over the cookie cutter crap that mostly comes out.

Did it bother anybody that TDKR filmed in Manhattan and not Chicago? I loved the film but this bothered me a little bit. The first 2 were filmed in Chicago and gave it a certain look and then Goatham is Manhattan all of a sudden. I can understand why Nolan picked Manahettan because it's an island and was important to Bane's plan of holding the city hostage, but it bothered me that Gotham wasn't Chicago this time around.

I agree. I really like Nolan and give him alot of credit for this. Batman Begins changed the game for the entire genre, that's one reason why I think it is the best.

I can assure you, Huckleberry, that I'm no troll. And I appreciate your insightful rebuttal of my points in this "decent thread/debate".

I hate to interrupt your little circle jerk over this movie, but like "Inception" and "Prometheus", this movie is drivel for the gullible. You can wallow in it, or look at it with a critical eye. I've led you to water, the rest is up to you.

When Batman gets stabbed at the end, I really thought we were going to see a Gladiator type end. He would defeat Talia, Bane, and the LoS, but his wound would be fatal. Batman would then die with Gordan, Fox, and Catwoman surrounding him as he gives his final wishes for Gotham.

As did I; didn't think of the Gladiator end, but that is spot on. I know it would've been best had he died for the emotional arc, but I sure would've been bummed.

I was thinking that as well. Also I thought bane might strangle him to death at that point which makes no sense but that's what I was worried about
